Woman, 51, in 'life-threatening' condition after serious collision with bus on Lewisham High Street
A woman has been left in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a collision with a bus in south London.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after they were called to an incident in Lewisham High Street at around 8.30pm on Sunday, August 3.
Scotland Yard said a bus and a female pedestrian were involved in a serious collision close to the street's McDonald's.
Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
The woman, aged 51, was rushed to a London hospital where her condition was assessed to be life-threatening.
Her family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, the force said.
No details have been released on the condition of the bus driver or passengers.
Detective Sergeant Rob Groombridge, from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We urge anyone with any information to please get in touch, even the smallest bit of detail could be helpful to our investigation.
'If you saw what happened but have not yet contacted police please contact us.'
