2025 NFC West right tackle rankings: Cardinals' Jonah Williams at the top

Arizona's Jonah Williams ranks atop the NFC West among the starting right tackles. We are in the final stretch of the NFL offseason as the Arizona Cardinals open training camp on July 22. Leading up to then, as we have for several offseasons, we go through the players and position groups in the NFC West and rank them. Next up, we look at the starting right tackles for the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks and rank them. 1. Jonah Williams, Arizona Cardinals He only played six games for the Cardinals last season, but when healthy, he is far and away the best right tackle in the division. He not only is steady, he is capable of giving a team high-end play. 2. Rob Havenstein, LA Rams Havenstein enters his 11th NFL season and has been steady. He has 141 career starts. He is, though, on the back end of his career now. 3. Colton McKivitz, San Francisco 49ers He enters his third season as the Niners' starting right tackle. He was a low-cost option after Mike McGlinchey left and hasn't been bad, but the Niners are making plans to replace him. He enters the final season of his contract and, if he plays well, could nail down big money. 4. Abe Lucas, Seattle Seahawks Lucas is a promising player. However, a nagging knee injury has limited him to 13 games in the last two seasons. Rams RT Rob Havenstein expects to be ready for training camp despite shoulder surgery

Rams RT Rob Havenstein expects to be ready for training camp despite shoulder surgery Reports surfaced in March that Los Angeles Rams starting right tackle had offseason shoulder surgery to clean up lingering affects of the 2024 season. Head coach Sean McVay said the procedures would be beneficial for him but wouldn't go into details about how it would impact his ability to practice ahead of the season. Now, we have Havenstein's words on the subject. The veteran recently confirmed the work done on his shoulders and added that while he will be limited during the team's organized team activities, which began on Monday, he expects to be ready for training camp later this summer. Havenstein missed the Rams' final two games of the 2024 regular season after injuring his shoulder in practice before Week 17. However, he returned for the playoffs and started both games. Havenstein has been a mainstay on the Rams offensive line since he was taken in the second round in 2015. He's started all 141 of the games he has been active for during his 10 years in the league. This is a critical season for Havenstein, however. He enters the final year of his contract and will turn 33 in May. While Havenstein should start again this year, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Rams take a tackle early in the 2025 NFL Draft that can play on the right side and eventually takeover for Havenstein if he gets injured again. The shoulder clean-up is just further proof of his fragility and the Rams need a healthy and available offensive line throughout the year if they want to compete for a Super Bowl this year.
