What is Blue Lock about?
Blue Lock, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, follows the story of Yoichi Isagi, a young striker with big dreams. After Japan's disappointing performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Japan Football Union launches the radical Blue Lock project, led by the enigmatic Ego Jinpachi. The goal is to mold the ultimate ego-centric striker by recruiting 300 of the country's top high school forwards including Isagi in a fierce competition to find the one who can lead Japan to future World Cup glory.
