Southwell and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia Announce Agreement to Expand Pathway Network Coverage in South-Central Georgia
TIFTON, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a great step forward for affordable access to care across South-Central Georgia, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (Anthem) and Southwell today announced a joint agreement to include all Southwell facilities in Anthem's Pathway Network. This includes Southwell's two hospitals, Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) in Tifton, and Southwell Medical in Adel, as well as Southwell's physician practices and outpatient centers located throughout the region. Having these Southwell facilities in the Pathway Network provides immediate in-network access to Anthem members enrolled in ACA Marketplace plans, helping ensure cost-effective, coordinated care for thousands of residents. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has entered a provider network agreement with US-based paediatric healthcare provider Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This multi-year partnership will continue to offer access to 2,300 paediatric doctors and allied health practitioners in more than 60 programmes. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has three hospitals, Arthur M. Blank, Hughes Spalding and Scottish Rite, and other neighbourhood locations. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has entered into a multi-year provider network agreement with US-based Resurgens Orthopaedics on clinical data integration. The agreement also includes initiatives to improve digital connectivity for minimising administrative burdens, enhancing processes, and providing patient-centred care. Resurgens patients under Anthem health plans can benefit from improved health outcomes. Comprising nearly 100 physicians in the Atlanta metro area, Resurgens provides patient-centred orthopaedic and spine care to the residents of Georgia and the southeastern region.
