Interview: Tri-State Remarkable Woman talks autism stigmas
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The new health and human services secretary is focusing a lot of attention on autism.
Robert Kennedy Junior is calling for more studies and says he expects to know the cause of the disorder by September.
But those and other comments have prompted a bigger conversation about autism, what it is and about the people who have it.
Eyewitness News sat down with Casey Depriest, whose years of work with people with autism won her the Tri-State Remarkable Woman title this year, to talk about her knowledge and her experiences with those who live with autism.
