'Heneral Luna,' 'Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral' to screen in select cinemas starting on Independence Day
"Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" by director Jerrold Tarog are returning to the big screen beginning on Independence Day on June 12, according to TBA Studios.
Get reacquainted with the first two movies of the Bayaniverse ahead of the release of its third installment, "Quezon," this 2025.

"Heneral Luna" (2015) stars John Arcilla as the title character and follows the life of General Antonio Luna during the Philippine-American War.
Meanwhile, "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" follows the ladies' man Gregorio "Goyo" del Pilar, played by Paulo Avelino, as he becomes one of the Philippines' youngest generals.
The final film of the trilogy, "Quezon," chronicles the life of Filipino lawyer and soldier Manuel L. Quezon who became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.
Jericho Rosales will star as Quezon in the film, while Benjamin Alves will play his younger version.
