UPDATE (4:30 p.m.): News 5 has clarified the burglar's method of entry, according to police. FOLEY, Ala. Two restaurants in Alachua County, one of which held its grand opening less than three months ago, have permanently closed. Wild Pie, a 100% plant-based pizzeria on the ground floor of The Hub on Campus Gainesville 3rd Ave, wrote in an April 3 Facebook post that the "difficult decision" to close had been made. "After exhausting all efforts, we've made the difficult decision to close our Gainesville location and bring Wild Pie to an official close. Our mission was simple: serve incredible food that just happened to be plant-based — and thanks to you, we brought that vision to life. ...," the post said. The Gainesville closure follows that of the original Jacksonville location in January. The Jacksonville-based food truck-turned-restaurant was started by Bart Ortiz. 'We've made the tough decision to close our Jacksonville location so we can pour all of our love and energy into Wild Pie Gainesville,' a post on Jan. 22 said. "... We'd love to personally invite you to take a quick road trip to Gainesville and experience the magic at our spot there. (We promise, it's worth the drive!)'
