Kourtney Kardashian responds to backlash over life vest for baby Rocky
Kourtney Kardashian came under fire over neglecting to put her one-year-old son Rocky Thirteen Barker in a life vest during a boat ride in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Idaho state law mandates that 'all children under the age of 14 must wear an approved life jacket when they are aboard a boat 19 feet in length or less whenever the boat is underway or under power'.
The 46-year-old reality TV star was slammed by her Instagram followers, with one person commenting: 'Child endangerment per Idaho law.'
Another user added: 'Please, please put a life jacket on that sweet babe!'
'Protects her son's face from the internet but doesn't protect him from possibly drowning... priorities,' a third chimed in.
Someone else said: 'No life jacket? And the mother of the year award goes to...'
On Saturday, Kourtney announced that she had bought a $69.99 Stohlquist 'Infant' life jacket that 'fits' little Rocky.
She wrote: 'Good looking out. Honestly, didn't think about some of the dangers. Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest.'
