The Class II recall, as reported by the FDA, initiated on June 2, is for Rocky Road ice cream that was placed in a Chocolate Truffle ice cream packaging. The container also has a Rocky Road Ice Cream lid on it. The federal agency said that the tub says "may contain tree nuts," while the lid declares almonds as an ingredient. In a notice on the website, Breyers warned consumers with almond allergies that the ice cream could run the risk of a severe and life-threatening reaction.
