Kathleen 'Kat' Marie Mosely
On Aug. 4, 2025, Kathleen Marie Duhon Mosely, known to everyone as Kat, departed this life at age of 69 in Lake Charles, La. at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born on Apr. 3,1956, to Theresa Fontenot Duhon and Rodney Duhon.
She last worked at L'Auberge Casino for over five years. Everyone knew her as Ms. Kat. She would not go by Kathleen. If you called her Kathleen, she would not answer. Call her Kat and she smiled and would answer yes or with a meow sound. She had a huge personality, and if she didn't like something she would tell you off with her facial expressions! Her hobbies included fill-in puzzles, watching old Western shows, as well as talking and spending time with her siblings, children and grandchildren. She loved gatherings and just loved to be loved by her family and friends.
She leaves to mourn her husband of over 40 years, Clarence Mosley ll, and her children, three sons, Chad Charles (LaShon) of Chapel Hill, N.C., Clarence Mosely lll and Corey Mosely, both of Lake Charles, La., and one daughter, Charmaine Roy (Jeroy) of Beaumont, Texas. She also leaves three brothers, Carl Duhon and Kirt Duhon Sr., both of Lake Charles, and Rodney Duhon Jr. of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Veronica Duhon of Lake Charles, Terrie Lute of Lafayette, La., and Deidre Buchanan and Jennifer Parker both of Houston, Texas. She leaves behind 15 loving grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both parents, Theresa and Rodney Duhon, and her brother, Warren Duhon.
Visitation will be on Aug. 16, 2025, at 9 a.m. at True Light Baptist Church at 1518 Gestner Memorial Drive, Lake Charles, La., with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial internment services following at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
