Housefull 5 box office prediction day 1: Akshay Kumar's comedy drama may earn Rs 22 crore in India
Housefull 5 box office prediction day 1: Housefull 5, one of the biggest films of the year, is out in theatres. The comedy drama hit the screens today (June 6) amid much fanfare. The film has created a fair deal of buzz among fans with its hilarious trailer. This is expected to help it open to a fair response at the Indian box office. Housefull 5 set to take a fair start Akshay Kumar is in the limelight because of his latest release Housefull 5. The comedy drama features him in a lively avatar and is his first comedy drama after Khel Khel Mein. According to Rohit Jaiswal, a trade analyst, it is expected to collect between Rs 20 crore (nett) and Rs 22 crore in India on the first day. 'It is a comedy meant for everyone and has a franchise value. So the opening day figure will be between Rs 20 crore and Rs 22 crore. It is releasing on a Friday and then there is the weekend, which will work in its favour,' he told Indiatimes. If this happens, the film will outperform Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar's last release. As per Sacnilk, a trade website, the courtroom drama had earned Rs 7.75 crore in India on the opening day. It eventually earned Rs 92 crore in its full run and failed to live up to expectations. Going by this prediction, Housefull 5 will also open better than Khel Khel Mein, The comedy drama had made Rs 5 crore on its first day despite clashing with Vedaa and Stree 2. What's Housefull 5 about? Housefull 5 is a comedy-drama directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film revolves around the chaos that ensues when a billionaire is found dead aboard a luxury cruise ship. It stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, and Nana Patekar.

Housefull 5: How much does Akshay Kumar's comedy drama need to collect in India to be a 'hit'?
Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of Housefull 5, one of the biggest films of the month, which is set to hit the screens on June 6. The comedy drama has created a buzz with its funny trailer and foot-tapping songs. The film has been shot on a budget of around Rs 200 crore-Rs 225 crore, which makes it a relatively safe venture for the makers. It, however, still needs to cross a significant milestone at the box office to emerge as a 'hit'. Housefull 5 needs to collect around Rs 220 crore on to be a 'hit' Akshay Kumar, who suffered a setback when Kesari 2 underperformed at the box office, is back in the limelight because of his latest film Housefull 5. The fifth and latest installment of the popular franchise has the potential to help him bounce back after commercially underwhelming outings. According to Rohit Jaiswal, a trade analyst, Housefull 5 needs to earn around Rs 220 crore (nett) in India in its full run to emerge as a 'hit'. 'If you take a closer look at this film , then you will realise that–barring Akshay– it does not have a big star. The budget is a controlled one. Given this, it needs to do between Rs 220 to Rs 250 to be declared as a 'hit'. The verdict is determined by the theatrical value of the rights(around Rs 90 crore in this case) and not the budget,' he told Indiatimes Housefull 4, which released in 2019, earned Rs 210 crore in India in its lifetime despite mixed reviews. This suggests that the new film too has the potential to fare along similar lines even if the reviews aren't favourable. However, the dull response to Akshay Kumar's previous films suggests that the task may not be as easy as expected. The comedy Khel Khel Mein, for instance, earned just Rs 40 crore in India. Similarly, Kesari 2 made just Rs 92 crore in the full run, failing to do justice to its budget of Rs 150 crore. About Housefull 5 Housefull 5 is a comedy drama directed by Tarun Mansukhani of Dostana fame. It revolves around the chaos that prevails when a billionaire dies aboard a luxury cruise ship. It is headlined by Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sonam Bajwa.
