"The Tayfun Block-4 achieves long ranges, setting another record for the Turkish defense industry. Weighing over 7 tons, this new version of the Tayfun, with its multi-purpose warhead, will be capable of destroying numerous strategic targets, such as air defense systems, command and control centers, military hangars, and critical military facilities, from kilometers away," the Turkish defence major press release stated.
Even though the range of Tayfun Block 4 has not been disclosed officially, defence experts believe it will be able to strike targets
1000 kilometers away.

Tayfun missile features
An upgraded variant of the Tayfun missile, which is already in service with the Turkish defence forces, the hypersonic model can take out strategic targets, including enemy air defense systems, command posts, and aircraft hangars. Rokestan added that its circular error of probability (CEP), the measure of a missile's accuracy, is no more than 5 meters. It means that there is a 50% probability that the missile will land within 5 meters of the target painted.
With a length of 10 meters long and a diameter of 938 mm, Tayfun Block 4's range is not yet official but estimated to be between 800-1000 km. Its previous version, the Tayfun short-range ballistic missile, has a maximum reported range of 800 km (500 mi). Tayfun Block 4 weighs 7,200 kg and has a go-onto-location-in-space (GOLIS) guidance system, which means the details of the enemy target are fed before the launch.
Weighing 2,300 kg, the Tayfun is shorter than its hypersonic cousin and measures at 6.5 meters. It is solid fuel powered with a diameter of 610 mm and a payload capacity of 500 kilograms which includes high explosives (HE) or fragmentation.
Its guidance system uses GPS + GLONASS aided INS and/or INS only to strike targets. The missile is truck mounted and uses the VOLAT platform for transportation and firing.
