AMC to adapt ‘The Grapes of Wrath' as a TV show

So there's certainly ample precedent for remixing the classic novel. AMC has brought in Rolin Jones to launch the series, and he'll work on 'Grapes of Wrath' and then shepherd subsequent editions of the anthology in years to come. He's got some solid experience bringing books to the screen — he's also the showrunner on 'Interview with the Vampire' and previously worked on 'Friday Night Lights.' He'll be aided by Mark Johnson, who oversees AMC's various Anne Rice adaptations, which also include 'Mayfair Witches.' Johnson is a producer with a long list of TV and film credits, who worked on 'Better Call Saul,' '
The series will air on AMC and then stream on their app, AMC+. No word yet on when, but since the novel has been timely virtually since it was published, it's almost always the right moment to adapt it.
