Škoda Unveils Futuristic Slavia B Cafe Racer Concept Inspired by 1899 Icon

Developed by French designer Romain Bucaille of Škoda Design, the electric Slavia B concept pays tribute to the brand's roots in two-wheeled machines from its Laurin & Klement era. Bucaille's design preserves the signature shape of the original frame, which famously cradled a combustion engine. In this modern take, that space is left empty, allowing a floating logo and a strong vertical split to emphasize its structure. The seat appears suspended, adding to the dynamic silhouette, while a leather tool bag nods to the endurance racing legacy of the original. Dubbed a 'futuristic cafe racer in Modern Solid style,' the concept features clean lines, angular edges and a headlight signature that mirrors Škoda's current design language. From pencil sketches to 3D renders, Bucaille approached the project with a car designer's eye, aiming to capture both the aesthetic and spirit of Škoda's early engineering feats. The Slavia B concept marks the first in a new series of reimagined Škoda icons, blending past and future on two wheels.

The new concept is pretty cool too. Penned by French designer Romain Bucaille, who normally works as an exterior designer on Skoda cars, we're told the new Slavia B also follows Skoda's current 'Modern Solid' design language that's a little bit minimalist. Yep, we can see that. Apparently the remake would be electric, with the area once inhabited by a combustion engine now left as an open space. There's also a floating seat and a brown leather tool bag, with the whole thing designed as a sort of futuristic café racer. Reckon Skoda should put something like this into production? Skoda Slavia B Concept Electric Bike Revealed; Inspired by 1899 Laurin & Klement Model
Skoda Auto, the car manufacturing brand that we know now started with making motorbikes. Now, the brand has touched its roots and unveiled the Skoda Slavia B concept recently. The concept bike resembles the Skoda B, the very first motorcycle produced by Laurin & Klement. Here is a closer look to the Skoda B concept that you must check out. Skoda B was launched around 1899 and it had a 240cc engine that was capable of pushing a peak power output of 1.75 hp. Also, the bike had a top speed of 40 kmph. The Skoda B had no gearbox and had a flat belt attached to power the rear wheels. L&K produced only 540 units of the motorcycles between 1899-1904. Now, the Skoda Slavia B has got an electric avatar, designed by Romain Bucaille. Skoda Slavia B concept bike design The Skoda Slavia B concept may get a fresh start however it seeks its design inspiration from its parent iteration. The Skoda B had an engine placed in the frame and Bucaille has designed the concept B leaving that particular space empty and adding a floating L&K logo. Apart from these design details, the Skoda Slavia B concept has elements like USD front forks, larger alloy wheels with rectangular shaped spokes, and a low set handle bar complements its cafe-racer design. The Slavia B also consists of a leather seat and tool bag fitted just behind the empty frame. The Skoda B concept showcases the brand's creativity in devising new concepts and futuristic approaches. However, there has been no details about the launch of the B concept yet. The brand has also been tightlipped about the specs of the electric bike.
