Footage shows Johnny Fisher tearful in locker room after KO by Dave Allen

Johnny Fisher spoke tearfully in his locker room after his loss to Dave Allen on Saturday, as the 'Romford Bull' discussed the true nature of 'fighting spirit'. Allen dropped Fisher twice in round five, with the second knockdown occurring on the bell and the towel coming in at the same time. Regardless, Fisher was down and out as he suffered his first professional loss. In December, the 26-year-old won a controversial decision against his friend Allen, 33, in Saudi Arabia. But at London's Copper Box Arena on Saturday, Allen left no doubt. Reacting to the result, Fisher said in his locker room: 'You forget, five years ago we had no money, we had nothing. My dad's business, he owed £350,000. We had to work to get it off. 'That's what a real fighter is. What I do in there, that's nothing compared to what my dad done, and yeah, that's where I get my fighting spirit from – because my dad's strong. My grandad was strong. 'And I'll be back, and I will get up every single time. I'll be back. I'm upset now, but I'm all good. It's alright to cry if you're a man. Try and do it in private, not like me right now, but f******g... 'We're strong, and the main thing is: I've got all these people around me that believe in me.' Allen's victory saw him claim the WBA Intercontinental Heavyweight title, his first belt as a professional. In the ring after defeating Fisher, the 'White Rhino' said: 'I knew the first fight did me a world of good. I put a bit of weight on, I knew it would pay dividends, took the risk. I'm the fattest, hardest man you'll ever see. 'You know what it means? The belt, everything... My kids yeah... I'm gonna have an en suite, they'll have their own bathroom between them. 'At this level, I'm a handful. He overexaggerated the movement, which worked against him. I've got experience, I know the game inside-out. I'm him, but with 30 more fights basically. 'He's my friend. He's a very good friend of mine. I wouldn't allow [a trilogy fight] to happen, because it's not in his best interests.'

Fisher vs Allen 2 LIVE: Start time, undercard and fight updates

and Dave Allen will square off in a highly-anticipated rematch tonight, after their controversial first clash in December. In Saudi Arabia seven months ago, Fisher survived a shock knockdown to win a widely-disputed decision over his old friend, keeping the 'Romford Bull' unbeaten. Such was the controversy around the scoring that Fisher was left with almost no option but to try to set things right. As such, a rematch between the 26-year-old and Allen, 33, was booked for this evening at London's Copper Box Arena. • 'Morally, in my heart, I thought the rematch wasn't something I had to do, but I felt it was right to do,' Fisher told the BBC this week, adding: 'I sort of forgot we're not mates [in the ring]. You're there to dispatch the other guy. I probably got brought into being a bit too pally with him.' Fisher also said: 'When you hear the noise in the media, you'd think it was all negative, but walking down the street, people kept telling me it was a great fight and praising the resilience I showed. Looking at it impartially, honestly, and breaking it down with my team, I really had a positive outlook on [the first fight]. Even with a knockdown... Yes, it's close, but I still truly believe I won it by one round.' Fisher vs Allen 2 LIVE: Welcome! Johnny Fisher suffered horror BLOOD CLOT in his ear… but says he had worse injuries during his ‘posh' rugby career

JOHNNY FISHER suffered a terrifying BLOOD CLOT in his ear against Dave Allen - but that was nothing compared to his days playing rugby. Fisher was dropped in round five against Allen and battled back to leave Saudi Arabia with a controversial split-decision. 5 5 5 But that was not before checking into a local hospital in Riyadh for a brain scan and procedure to drain blood from his left ear. The fearless Romford Bull now rematches Allen on Saturday back at his adopted London home of the Copper Box - six months after their thriller. Fisher said: "I got the blood drain off the back of my ear and they did a scan just check which is how it should be. "I mean, I'm a massive rugby fan and the the head injury assessments that have come in for that, they're very good. "Because you don't know, it's not so much what happens immediately after, it's what happens in the years down the line. "It's good that the medical professionals are taking every single precaution because we do go in there and we do have a dangerous job, but that's what we sign up for." before turning professional in 2021 post-lockdown. But he had to leave his aspirations of becoming a rugby star behind - having been through more wars on the pitch than the ring. Fisher said: "A few more scuffs and a few more broken thumbs and shoulders and people doing the dark arts during the scrums and stuff. "That was a dangerous place, even with the posh boys at Exeter uni!" 'You can't be any good' - Dave Allen fires brutal dig at Johnny Fisher ahead of Copper Box rematch Fisher, 26, was knocked down by Allen, 33, having switched off in the centre of the ring after a clinch. But the former second-row vows not to drop the ball this time despite the threat of a raucous East London atmosphere. He said: "I'm ready to be dragged in and just stand in the middle of the ring. "You couldn't knock me out last time, so what makes you think you're gonna do it this time? "And I ain't got a blood clot on my ear, I'm not listening to you say break in the middle of the ring. "He caught me with a shot, he said break, and I went and he got caught me with a left hook. "I was just stupid, stupid from me. If that don't happen, it's a different story." 5 5
