Erie chocolatiers busy as Valentine's Day rush starts
A local chocolate shop is busy getting sweet treats ready for the community ahead of Valentine's Day.
Less than 24 hours until Valentine's Day and many are out looking for the perfect gift. Strawberries and grapes were being coated with chocolate along with other Valentine's Day preparations underway at Romolo Chocolates.

The owner and operator Tony Stefanelli said they are making grapes and strawberries fresh every day with hundreds of flats on hand.
He says staff begins early around 4 a.m. in order to ensure they are ready to pass out the berries around 8 a.m. when they open.

'We have to have all hands on deck to make it work even our office people are out on the floor but it works out for us great,' Stefanelli said. 'We're so very pleased with the Erie community that they support us on a regular daily basis I can't say enough I think this is sorta of almost a phenomenon in Erie that a candy shop draws like this.'
Stefanelli said the last couple of weeks have also been busy selling boxes and small hearts.
