Rose-Hulman to host 2025 Rose Show
VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Rose-Hulman University will be showcasing student projects by hosting what they call a 'collegiate version of the World's Fair.' The Rose Show first started in 1928, and since then it has been a showcase for projects that fill needs within organizations, society and individual clients. This year, the university said more than 130 different projects will be showcased at the Rose Show. The projects will be presented by first-year students through graduating seniors. 'This year, student projects have included an open-source educational robotics kit, a transitional housing shelter for people navigating homelessness, a stream table for the Montessori Academy of Terre Haute, a reclining wheelchair, local city infrastructure redevelopments, and a motion mat to enhance a child's upper body movement and cognitive development, among dozens of others,' said Rose-Hulman University. The Rose Show will be held on Wednesday, May 7, from 1-3 p.m. in the fieldhouse area of Rose-Hulman's Sports and Recreation Center. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Rose-Hulman set to host Cirque Kalabante show this weekend
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Rose-Hulman University's Performing Arts Series will feature a spectacular Cirque Kalabante performance this weekend. This is one of eight shows in the Performing Arts Series featured at the university's Hatfield Hall Theater this school year. 'Kalabante Production's colorful show by Yamoussa Bangoura is inspired by daily life in Guinea and represents the strength, agility, and life's joys of young Africans. It goes beyond the country's scenery, costumes, and staging as acrobats execute gravity-defying moves and human pyramids,' Rose-Hulman University said in a press release. The university says that tickets will range from $55 for the Gold Circle seating, $35 for Standard seating and $30 for Value seating. The show will be on Sunday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m. To learn more about the Performing Arts Program and to purchase tickets online you can go to the Hatfield Hall Theater's website. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the ticket office at 812-877-8544, or by visiting the Hatfield Hall ticket desk through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
