The backstory On June 15, 2024, Round Rock police responded to a shooting at Old Settlers Park at Harrell Parkway in Round Rock. Two people were killed, and 14 others were injured in the shooting. Police said the shooting happened during an altercation between two groups at the event. The two people killed were innocent bystanders. 33-year-old Lyndsey Vicknair from Manor and 54-year-old Ara Duke from Pflugerville died in the shooting. ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN)– Four additional suspects who police believe were involved in the deadly Juneteenth celebration shooting in 2024 have been arrested, according to the Round Rock Police Department Monday. The incident, which occurred at Old Settlers Park during the city's annual celebration on June 15 in Round Rock, resulted in two deaths and 14 injuries. According to police, Terrell Hatch, 18; Payton Green, 20; Terren Jackson, 18; and Amarjai Terry, 17, were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. All suspects are currently being held at the Williamson County Jail and face charges of engaging in criminal activity with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, a first-degree felony. Round Rock Police said the recent arrests are in addition to the individuals who were previously taken into custody in connection with the Juneteenth shooting. RRPD thanked additional law enforcement entities who helped with this investigation. Authorities charge 4 more people in last year's deadly Juneteenth shooting in Round Rock
The U.S. Marshal Service's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has arrested four more suspects who were involved in the shooting that killed two women and injured 14 other people during Round Rock's annual Juneteenth celebration last year, police said Monday. Terrell Hatch, 18, of Pflugerville; Payton Green, 20, of Pflugerville; Terren Jackson, 18, of Manor; and 17-year-old Amarjai Terry of Manor were being held in the Williamson County Jail on Monday, Round Rock police said in a social media post. They are all charged with engaging in organized criminal activity with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison, police said. Three other people previously charged in the shooting include 19-year-old Keshawn Dixon, who was charged with deadly conduct, and 17-year-old Ricky Thompson, who was charged with aggravated assault. A juvenile also was previously charged. The suspect fled the scene on foot before the officers got there. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a red-and-blue rain jacket, black pants, Mechanix-style gloves and black Air Jordan 11-style shoes. Police seek public help finding suspect connected to Round Rock assault
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Round Rock Police Department is seeking public help to find a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that happened in January in Round Rock. RRPD said on social media that officers responded to the Main Street Bar, located at 101 E. Main St., for the assault on Jan. 24 around 2 a.m. According to police, a victim was in a verbal altercation with an unknown man outside the bar when the suspect walked up to the victim from behind and 'struck him in the head– commonly referred to as a 'sucker punch.'' 'The impact caused the victim to lose consciousness and strike his head against a nearby window,' police said. The suspect was described by police as a white or Hispanic man, approximately 30-50 years-old, has an average build and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray hat, gray jacket, gray pants and white shoes, according to police.
