Driver flown to hospital after West Bridgewater Route 24 crash, road closures
A driver who suffered serious injuries was evacuated by medical helicopter from Route 24 in West Bridgewater after a one-car crash Tuesday, July 29, according to reporting by WCVB. The crash occurred at around 11 a.m. on the southbound side near mile marker 27.2 after the Route 106 interchange. Officials closed both sides of Route 24 briefly to allow the medical helicopter to land, WCVB reported. According to MassDOT, the northbound lane had reopened by noon. 'Sweetest, most caring soul': West Bridgewater Route 24 crash victim, 18, identified
An 18-year-old woman who suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash Tuesday, July 29, on Route 24 in West Bridgewater has died, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. Nataliya O'Connell, 18, succumbed to her injuries on Saturday, Aug. 2, according to the DA's office. O'Connell was driving southbound on Route 24 at around 11 a.m. Tuesday when she "crashed into another vehicle," the DA's office said. Her car then struck the median on the lefthand side of the roadway and rolled over, the DA's office said. She was evacuated by medical helicopter to a Boston area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
