On Tuesday, August 12, at the Constitution Club in New Delhi, Jaya Bachchan had arrived for a gathering. A man approached her for a selfie during the event. Instead of declining calmly, Jaya Bachchan pushed the man angrily and screamed, 'Kya kar rahe hai aap? What is this?' The man is later seen apologising in the video.
Several citizens slammed the veteran actress on social media, terming it 'unacceptable'. One user wrote, 'She could have just said no. Pushing someone in a public place is not acceptable, especially from a public figure.' 'This is not the first time she's lashed out. If a BJP MP had done this, there would have been chaos,' another netizen commented.
'Jaya Bachchan doing it again, at her best. She could have simply refused a photo, but she pushes the man…. Why this arrogance, always? She doesn't deserve to be in public life. Imagine the outrage if a BJP MP had done this,' an X user wrote.
'SHOCKING: Jaya Bachchan back at it again! ~ Man requests a selfie, she could've just said NO. But instead, she goes Physical & HITS HIM. Where does this ARROGANCE come from?' another post read.
