His Majesty the Sultan issues three Royal Decrees
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued three Royal Decrees on Thursday. The first Royal Decree amends the organisational structure of the Royal Office, and appoints Major General Sulaiman bin Khalid bin Sulaiman al Zakwani as a Secretary-General of the Office of Head of Office of the Supreme Commander. The second Royal Decree amends certain provisions of the Royal Decree No. 10/2021 on the appointment of a Secretary-General at the Ministry of Defence. The third Royal Decree promotes Brigadier Sulaiman bin Ali bin Ahmed al Husaini to the rank of Major General and appoints him as a Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.

HM, Algerian President hold bilateral talks
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdelamdjid Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria held a bilateral meeting at the Presidency of the Republic in the capital Algiers on Monday. The meeting reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation and means of promoting them to serve the interests of the two peoples. The two leaders also exchanged views on a set of regional and international developments. After that, an official session of talks was held under that the chair of His Majesty the Sultan and the Algerian President. The session explored opportunities for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, particularly renewable energy, pharmaceutical industries, agriculture, marine resources, food security, and financial and logistical investment. The two sides also exchanged views on a set of matters of interest to the two countries. The session was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamed bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office of His Majesty the Sultan, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health and Saif bin Nassir al Badaai, Ambassador of Oman to Algeria. Algeria rolls out red carpet for H M Sultan Haitham
Algiers, Algeria – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Algiers on Sunday on a two-day state visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan and received him at the foot of the aircraft ramp in Houari Boumediene International Airport. His Majesty was also received by senior officials in the Algerian government. His Majesty the Sultan and the Algerian President then ascended the dais of honour as the Royal anthem of Oman and the national anthem of Algeria were played. This was followed by His Majesty the Sultan inspecting a guard of honour, while an artillery unit fired a 21-gun salute. His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the welcoming party from the Algerian side and personnel of the sultanate's embassy in Algeria. On his turn, the Algerian President shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan. Then, President Tebboune escorted His Majesty to a cordial meeting. At the outset of the meeting, the Algerian President reextended his welcome to His Majesty the Sultan, who expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him. During the meeting, the two leaders held cordial talks and reviewed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries. On this visit, His Majesty the Sultan is being accompanied by an official delegation comprising H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, and Saif bin Nassir al Badaai, Ambassador of Oman to Algeria. At the meeting, the two leaders underlined the distinguished relations between Oman and Algeria and the fraternal ties between their peoples. They also affirmed keenness to promote these relations in a way that serves joint interests. On Sunday evening, President Tebboune hosted a dinner in honour of His Majesty the Sultan.
