"It took too long I felt like, but to check two things off and only win for the first time on LIV and also doing it in my home state means a lot."
He added, "You always deal with adversity throughout every tournament you play. It's just how you're going to respond and handle it. Luckily I was able to kind of right the ship today and get in a playoff and make that putt at the end."
Reed's final-round 75 nearly cost him the title after he squandered a five-shot lead. But he steadied himself with nine straight pars on the back nine, then delivered when it mattered most.
The win earned him $4 million from the $20 million individual purse. It also marked redemption after several near-misses—he had 11 top-5 finishes and five podiums since joining LIV in 2022.

Reed's victory also secured his spot at the Royal Portrush's Open Championship starting from July 17th. "I'm looking forward to Portrush,"he said. "Keep this momentum going, win there, and who knows, maybe go on a run."
