'I gasped when discovering true value of my £18 charity shop jacket'

Danielle, who regularly shares videos of her out shopping in charity shops, said a jacket she'd found was a bargain - but some people weren't quite so impressed A woman was stunned by the actual worth of an £18 jacket in a charity shop after she Googled the brand while in-store and found it on Harrods. Danielle, who posts on TikTok as @charityshoplife, revealed there's a charity shop where all unsold items from the local area are sent and further discounted, with some pieces selling for as little as £3. ‌ The shop is called the Royal Trinity Outlet, located at 304 North End Road. When Danielle previously shared this information, some TikTokers accused her of "ruining" the shop, claiming you wouldn't be able to find " bargains" there anymore. However, she set out to prove them wrong. ‌ "It's basically where pieces go that don't sell," she explained, showcasing a red dress that was initially priced at £28 in the charity shop but had been reduced to just £3. ‌ "Royal Trinity is known for designer pieces," Danielle enthused, asking: "Where else can you pick up Dsquared jeans for £6?" She displayed a pair of Monolo shoes, which did look a bit worn, but were only £16. Danielle suggested with a "little TLC," they could look as good as new, and considering some pairs cost over £1,000 new, it might be worth a shot. A brand new Urban Outfitters dress with tags was just £3, and a Tory Burch polo originally priced at £50 had been reduced to £15. It was embellished with "little pearl buttons" which elevated it from your average top. But then, she stumbled upon a jacket which was for sale for £18 - but upon closer examination, she realised it was worth considerably more. ‌ The label was eskandar, and she explained: "A jacket will cost you around £600," while displaying a similar one on screen that was selling in Harrods for £695. When she approached the till, the staff member asked whether she was fond of that brand, before showing her additional discounted eskandar items. In the comments section, Danielle remarked: "People get mad when I 'gatekeep' charity shops and people get mad when I share shops... you can't win on the internet." Someone replied: "As the saying goes... You can't please all the people all of the time lol. Thanks for sharing." Another suggested these prices ought to be standard rather than a special offer, writing: "My problem with London charity shops at the moment and Royal Trinity especially is that the prices are too high! These prices are what all charity shops should be in my opinion." One bloke joked he needed to "up my charity shop game" and start second-hand hunting for designer pieces.
