BGT final live updates as winner 'confirmed' hours before show kicks off

Britain's Got Talent's 2025 live final is set to get underway in just a few hours time as the 10 remaining acts put on their best performance in the hopes of being crowned this year's winner. They will give everything they've got as they battle for the staggering £250,000 prize and secure a place at the Royal Variety Show in front of King Charles. Hosts Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli will be on hand to offer their last piece of feedback to the stars of this year's series. Viewers will not only be treated to performances from the 10 finalists, but also some surprise guests. During the final, fans can expect another show stopping performance from one of the judges, but unfortunately it's not Simon Cowell. Guest judge KSI, who made his debut this season, will be taking to the stage to perform, and if his previous onstage performances are anything to go by, fans are in for a treat. Follow along for the Mirror's live updates throughout the night as one act's dreams are set to come true... The 10 acts competing for the winners spot tonight are: LED Dance Group The Blackouts, singer Vinnie McKee, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, gymnastics star Binita Chetry, magician Harry Moulding and guitarist Olly Pearson. Also joining them in the final will be opera singer and drag queen Jasmine Rice, dance act Ping Pong Pang, comedian Joseph Charm and Post Office choir Hear Our Voice. Despite the final not kicking off yet, some think they already know who will be declared winner. Bookies William Hill has made Hear Our Voice, the inspirational choir comprising of victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal, favourites to win with odds of 6/4. The group - made up of victims of the sub- postmasters scandal, which saw hundreds of lives ruined by the Horizon IT fiasco - has wowed judges since their first audition and now look like they're well on their way to victory. The 10 finalists are not the only ones taking to the stage later tonight, as judge KSI is set to perform. Announcing the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, the official Britain's Got Talent account tweeted: HE'S BACK!!! Catch @KSI while you can performing at the #BGT Final, coming at you this Saturday 31st May at 7pm on @ITV1,@ITVX and @WeAreSTV." The YouTube sensation began his music career in 2015 with the release of his debut single, Lamborghini, featuring P Money. The YouTuber and boxer joined the Britain's Got Talent panel as a guest judge in February this year as he stepped in for fellow judge Bruno Tonioli who had to miss a few auditions due to schedule conflicts. The Britain's Got Talent final will kick off at 7pm this evening. Viewers are in for a treat, as the show will run all the way until 9:45pm.

Britain's Got Talent winners 'unmasked' hours before live grand finale

Britain's Got Talent fans can't wait for the finale tonight in which 10 acts are all hoping to waltz away with £250,000 and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show Britain's Got Talent fans are waiting eagerly to find out who will win this year's ITV talent show. Viewers can't wait for the live finale tonight in which 10 acts are all hoping to waltz away with £250,000 and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show in front of King Charles. But, some feel the show winner has already been revealed. With the star-studded final just hours away, bookies William Hill has made Hear Our Voice, the inspirational choir comprising of victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal, favourites to win with odds of 6/4. The group - made up of victims of the sub- postmasters scandal, which saw hundreds of lives ruined by the Horizon IT fiasco - has wowed judges since their first audition and now look like they're well on their way to victory. ‌ ‌ Claiming the singers are "the ones to beat", William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps told The Sun: "Hear Our Voice have struck a real chord with the public and are now the ones to beat in Saturday night's final. "Their odds have shortened to 6/4 after their powerful semi-final performance." Should Hear Our Voice win tonight and win the chance to perform in front of the King at the Royal Variety Show, member, Tim Bretnall told the Mirror it would 'take their story to the highest level.' He said: 'The absolute best bit of this journey has been the audiences reactions and support, and to be able to feel that for royalty would be unbeatable. ‌ 'Winning the show would be huge, we've all spent so long fighting what's felt like an uphill battle, and it's still going on now, but knowing that the public are firmly behind us would mean the absolute world to us. 'It would give our cause a real seal of approval and hopefully a platform to continue to fight for the justice that people deserve, what's already changed my life is the joy that being in choir has brought.' The 40-strong choir was set up a year ago, with founder Mark Wildblood revealing it's become like "therapy" for them. Hundreds of sub-postmasters were accused or convicted of theft and fraud due to the faulty Horizon system, developed by Fujitsu and installed by the Post Office. ‌ Horizon incorrectly recorded financial shortfalls, leading to one of the biggest ever miscarriages of justice. Prosecutions started more than 25 years ago but victims are still fighting for compensation and for those responsible to be held to account. Hear Our Voice has impressive odds and an even more impressive story, however the choir faces some stuff competition tonight, with Amanda Holden 's Golden Buzzer act, The Blackouts, who won the semi-final vote earlier this week, hot on their heels at 13/8. Pointing out that the light-up dance group are still ones to watch, but are unlikely to beat the compelling choir, bookie, Tim, said: 'The Blackouts, who've been fan favourites from the start, are still strong contenders at 13/8 – but momentum seems to be shifting towards the choir, whose emotional story has really resonated with the nation.' ‌ Meanwhile, magician, Harry Moulding is sitting at 7/1 to win while guitarist, Olly Pearson, who won a Golden Buzzer early in the series, trails just behind at 8/1. * The live final kicks off tonight, Saturday May 31, at 7pm on ITV.

Inside BGT's Jasmine Rice's life – unrecognisable appearance to hidden heartache

Jasmine Rice wowed both judges and audience when she stepped on the stage during her first audition - and later opened up about the tragic loss she experienced hour before It's almost time for the highly anticipated Britain's Got Talent 2025 final, where 10 acts will take to the stage in hopes of winning a whopping cash prize as well as a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show. Hoping to make it to the top is hopeful Jasmine Rice. The drag queen opera singer, based in New York, brought the house down with her first audition, but off-screen, it came hours after a secret heartbreak. ‌ The well known drag queen and opera singer Jasmine gained significant recognition after being shouted out by Beyoncé in her Break My Soul (Queens Remix), highlighting her influence within the drag community. ‌ BGT isn't Jasmine's first TV role. The star was also a contestant on drag queen contest DRAD and is a member of the Haus of LaBeija, which also houses other Drag Race royalty including Aja from RuPaul's Drag Race US. Jasmine has a huge social media presence and uses her Instagram to showcase her stunning and extravagant makeup looks, although the star has been known to post on the platform without makeup. My family - including my grandma - have been such an amazing support system for me to continue singing. I basically thought of that and used that as fuel to continue and try to concentrate and do my best. "How many people can say that they could dedicate a performance to their loved ones on the day that someone passed?," said Jasmine. "It's an anthem for my grandmother as she enters the pearly gates of heaven. I thought 'She's hearing my voice as she flies away'." Following her audition, Jasmine wowed the judges once again during the third semi-final, putting a spin on Never Enough with her undeniable operatic vocals. After leaving Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno in her audition, he gave her the Golden Buzzer, sending her straight through to the semi-final.

How a Britain's Got Talent star became show's 'biggest success story' despite not winning

How a Britain's Got Talent star became show's 'biggest success story' despite not winning Britain's Got Talent's biggest success story auditioned in 2009. Britain's Got Talent is gearing up to announce its latest winner, with one of the eight finalists set to bag a £250,000 prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Show. The ITV competition has seen 17 winners so far, with Sydnie Christmas currently holding the title, joining the ranks of past victors such as Diversity, George Sampson, and Paul Potts. ‌ Yet, the programme's most remarkable success story isn't a winner. ‌ Back in 2009, Susan Boyle captured hearts and shocked judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Piers Morgan with her historic audition. "No one had any expectation, they thought I was a joke.... And then I started to sing," she once reminisced. As she conquered her nerves and "stomped on stage," neither the panel nor the audience anticipated the phenomenon that would follow. ‌ Although Susan was the runner-up to Diversity, she achieved global stardom, boasting the top-selling debut album worldwide in 2009. Susan Boyle has made history with her worldwide success (Image: Getty ) She went on to release multiple singles and eight albums, earned two Grammy nods, and became the first female artist to notch up three consecutive number-one albums within a span of less than two years. ‌ Susan has made several comebacks to the talent show circuit. Her latest appearance was in 2023, when she performed a duet with X Factor's Lucie Jones and revisited her iconic audition piece, "I Dreamed A Dream." During this period, Susan disclosed her private struggle with health issues, having endured a minor stroke, yet she expressed her determination to return to performing and "fought to be back on stage". The 64-year-old has now made an emotional return to music after taking a step back from the limelight. ‌ After a respite from the public eye, Susan ventured back into the recording studio for the first time in half a decade following the release of her album A Wonderful World in 2016. She stunned judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell (Image: Ken McKay ) She took to Instagram earlier this month to share: "Today was wonderful, emotional, and everything in between. ‌ "I made my return to the recording studio for the first time in six years, something I was told I might never achieve again. "But here we are, in my happy place! I want to thank my manager, Geraldine, for being my absolute rock through everything and for helping me get back to where I belong. A million thanks." Despite her break from the spotlight, Susan remains among Britain's Got Talent's most notable success stories, boasting a reported net worth of $40,000,000 (£30,000,000), as per ‌ However, she's openly shared that she doesn't intend to squander her wealth. Susan outside her house in Blackburn, West Lothian (Image: PA ) Reflecting on her life before the talent show in a 2019 YouTube video, she revealed, "Life before BGT was incredibly hard. I'd been the sole carer for my elderly mother, and money was incredibly tight. I struggled to pay the bills and buy food. ‌ "It was a pretty miserable existence, and I always felt like an outsider looking in." Moreover, she confessed: "I'm not a big spender, because for 47 years I didn't have any money, so I like to save it for a rainy day." The chart-topping songstress has remained true to her modest lifestyle, opting to purchase her mother's council home in Blackburn, West Lothian. Article continues below Susan took a moment to reflect on her remarkable journey, admitting she "never thought" she'd achieve such incredible success or have the chance to perform in so many countries worldwide. "I still have to pinch myself to believe it. I'm incredibly lucky and I thank god every day for how blessed I have been." Britain's Got Talent airs at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
