Datadog appoints Roz Gregory as Regional Vice President in ANZ
Datadog has appointed Roz Gregory as Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand.
Gregory's appointment marks a significant development for Datadog's operations in the region, signalling the company's commitment to growing its presence in Australia and New Zealand through expanded enterprise engagement and additional customer support.
Gregory brings more than 30 years of experience in change management and digital transformation. Her professional background spans a range of senior leadership roles across industries, including previous positions with VMware by Broadcom, Pivotal Software and Telstra. She has also chaired advisory boards supporting strategic initiatives for public sector and enterprise clients.
In her new position, Gregory will focus on strengthening Datadog's enterprise business, with an emphasis on highly regulated industries such as government, banking, financial services, healthcare, and higher education. Her responsibilities will include spearheading new customer opportunities and extending existing relationships, as well as supporting the company's expansion plan by boosting team capacity in the region.
The role comes at a time when Datadog has invested in local infrastructure, following the recent opening of its first local availability zone in Australia. This development enables Datadog, its partners and more than 1,100 customers in Australia and New Zealand to store and process data locally, helping them meet Australian privacy, security, and data storage requirements. "Enterprise customers are dealing with ever more regulatory complexity and digital transformation, which puts innovation at risk, particularly with AI. Joining Datadog was the natural choice for me because of its ability to enable companies to predict and respond to these changes and prevent incidents. Given the rate of Datadog's product evolution and growth, this is an exciting time to join the team," said Gregory.
Datadog's strategy includes reinforcing its presence in sectors that are navigating regulatory and technological change, and Gregory's appointment is intended to align with these objectives. Her experience with digital transformation initiatives and advisory-led leadership is regarded by Datadog leadership as an asset for driving the next phase of regional growth. "Roz has deep experience and been instrumental in driving successful global transformation projects as a consultant, an enterprise customer, and a technology vendor," said Rob Thorne, Vice President for Asia-Pacific and Japan at Datadog. "Her adaptable leadership style, extensive experience in leading high performance teams, and knowledge of the complexities and regulatory pressures faced by companies in A/NZ will be crucial in steering the next phase of Datadog's growth plans in Australia and New Zealand."
Gregory has overseen digital and organisational change projects across industry sectors and has supported government agencies and major enterprise clients in strategic planning and execution of transformation programmes.
The company's investment in local infrastructure is designed to support continued trans-Tasman expansion and customer acquisition while catering to increased demand for data residency and compliance capabilities in Australia and New Zealand. Datadog's SaaS platform serves organisations of various sizes, integrating infrastructure monitoring, application performance, cloud security, and log management to provide a unified view of technology stacks.
