FIA seizes luxury vehicle in Mustafa murder probe
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Circle has seized another high-end vehicle linked to Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case. The vehicle, a Ford Raptor valued at around Rs58.5 million, was recovered from the Quaidabad area on Thursday following a 22-day search operation. Investigators had earlier discovered that the luxury vehicle, which was reportedly used by Armughan, had gone missing from his residence. The latest seizure marks another breakthrough in the ongoing probe, which has repeatedly unveiled new layers of financial irregularities linked to the accused. According to FIA sources, Armughan allegedly amassed a vast fortune through illicit call center operations over the past seven years. Investigators estimate that between $300,000 to $500,000 of illegally acquired funds were converted into cryptocurrency daily. These earnings were reportedly used to purchase luxury assets, including high-end vehicles and properties in upscale areas. The FIA has so far identified eight vehicles purchased with the proceeds of the fraudulent scheme, with a total estimated value exceeding Rs120 million. One such vehicle, worth over Rs50 million, was previously seized from Armughan's residence on March 5. The FIA's AML Circle, in collaboration with specialised units, continues to probe the extent of Armughan's financial dealings. Authorities believe that significant portions of the illegally acquired funds have been funneled into cryptocurrency transactions, real estate investments, and other high-value assets.

Male professors to be removed from women's universities in Punjab
Listen to article The Punjab government has decided to remove male professors and teachers from women's universities across the province to prevent harassment and safeguard female students. Governor Sardar Saleem Haider announced the decision while speaking to the media, stating that strict punishments would be enforced against individuals involved in harassment at educational institutions. In addition to removing male staff, the governor revealed that the system for preparing and checking examination papers would be overhauled to protect female students from blackmail and harassment. 'All university administrations have been directed to implement the new system,' Haider said, adding that performance evaluation forms will be distributed to vice-chancellors and professors. Future rewards and punishments will be based on these assessments. Last month, while launching the Honhaar Scholarship Programme for Gujranwala division by distributing cheques among the 10 top students at Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that all students with more than 65% marks will be provided laptops." A guard of honour was presented to the students by contingent of Punjab Police. The chief minister announced that the Punjab government would take responsibility for the cancer treatment of a female student's mother. Under the scheme, 1,947 students of Gujranwala division will get scholarships worth Rs89.8 million, including 1,276 students of government universities receiving Rs58.5 million, 481 students of colleges Rs13.2 million, 112 students of private institutions and 78 of medical colleges. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on the occasion that she had directed the authorities concerned to increase the number of Honhaar scholarships to 50,000 in next year's budget. She said 30,000 scholarships were being given to children but there should be more. She said public money should be spent on their welfare. She added, "Very soon, second and third year students will also get meritorious scholarships."
