Mafia: The Old Country Guide: 'Chapter 4 – Il Barone' Walkthrough & Collectibles
Mafia: The Old Country Guide: Chapter 4 – Il Barone Chapter 4 of Mafia: Old Country picks up in 1905. When you begin, head over and grab a horse from the stables. When you open the menu, scroll across to the Saddle options and choose Polio Tack to unlock the Achievement: Riding in Style. You don't have to stick with this Saddle and can switch it back if you wish, but this is one of the simpler trophies you can get almost immediately here. You can also choose to customize your Horse here with Dinari, granting extra Spurs or a different appearance entirely, but the default horse should suffice. Ride to the ruins with Isabella Back to top ↑ Once you're ready, ride with Isabella until you stop the first time. You'll need to help the boys out with their car, so approach the front and hit X to crank it for Gennaro until you're ready to move on again. The second stop with the priest you don't need to get off your horse. Eventually you'll come to a race section. Race with Isabella The race with Isabella is quite straightforward and the same tactics you used in chapter 2 will also work here too. Use Spurs during straight sections of the countryside to speed up, and cut the corners whenever you turn left or right. You don't gain anything by winning or losing (except bragging rights) but eventually you'll ride on together to the next area. Join Isabella on the overlook Back to top ↑ Eventually you'll reach the overlook with Isabella, where you'll be shown how to use the Camera. This is the first Photograph you'll get automatically and the tutorial will help show how to line up the shot just right. To get the right focus and exposure, you need to make sure the arrows turn Yellow. When you do, snap the photo for your journal. Ride to the ruins with Isabella When that's done, follow Isabella to the ruins where a cutscene will trigger. With Gennaro and Isabella off together, it's time to go for a ride with Luca. Just as you did before, crank the car again and we'll be back on our way. You'll now have a driving tutorial and will end up driving round the ruins twice. On the second circuit, you'll need to race back to the ruins for a shootout. Get to the temple Back to top ↑ The shootout here is relatively straightforward, but from here on out, it's a good idea to try and get as many headshots as you can for the Achievement: Cold-Blooded, which requires 30 headshot takedowns on enemies. The rifle is a great option for this. Work your way through the temple ruins but do note that if you hug the right side of the arena (from your starting position and the opposite side to the marked location) you'll find a workbench tucked under a large tarp which holds a Trinacria on (pictured below). After dispatching all the soldiers, head for the marked spot on your screen to trigger another cutscene and a chase sequence. Pursue the bandits Back to top ↑ Now you'll be driving with Enzo after Isabella and will need to shoot the kidnappers as they race away. Watch out for the parts of the road that are burned or columns destroyed as you drive. Eventually you'll come to a corner where you'll need to take a left turn and will find the yellow marker right in front of you. Don't brake at the corner and keep your finger pressed on the accelerator. As you descend the hill you'll do so at speed, and as you jump off the edge of the path into the air, you'll manage to go at enough speed to get some airtime and nab the Achievement: Daredevil for jumping the car over 40 meters. This chase sequence does go on for a while and after hopping aboard your horse, you'll need to chase after Isabella while on horseback. This is less about getting Isabella and more about taking out the pursuing attackers so keep going and don't fret if the wagon gets too far away. Keep using your spur on the straight sections of the path too and fire at the bandits as they get close on horseback. Eventually this section will trigger another cutscene. Find Gennaro Back to top ↑ When you take control of Enzo, Charm: Fantasma will be resting on the wall right in front of you. This dampens your footsteps and makes you harder to detect, and as stealth will serve you well in this first area, I'd recommend equipping it for the time being. You can go in all-guns blazing if you want, but as some levels require you to keep to stealth for Achievements, this is a great opportunity to test those skills out. From your starting position, descend down into the camp via the right path. Take out the guard in front of you after the second guard moves away, then keep crouched and continue moving toward the marker on the right. At this point there should be two guards patrolling back and forth. If you take either of these guys out, it's a good idea to move the bodies out of sight, preferably in the cave you originally entered into this area from. There's a blue box there you can stuff enemy soldiers inside. Hug the rock wall to your right and then circle around and enter the next cave. Follow the route with the orange torches, up the stairs, and stealthily take out any soldiers in your way until you climb some stairs. Keep following the torches and you'll come to a large cave with a ton of enemies inside. You can do this bit stealthily but it'll take a while. Alternatively, there's a rifle overlooking the top of an enemy camp that you can use to dispatch these guys. On one of the tables in the middle of the camp you'll find the Newspaper: Russo-Japanese War collectible (pictured above). This is also missable so you need to make sure you pick that up while you're here! Exit the cave and follow the path up. However, on the way you'll find an enemy soldier moving to the left and a path overlooking a beautiful view. You'll also find a Mystery Fox here, just to the right of the campfire. Regardless of if you've done the whole section stealthily or not, at the top of this path you'll need to attack the soldiers that arrive and take them out. Keep moving through the area and at the end of this path, you'll find Gennaro. However, just before interacting with him, be sure to check left of the campfire to grab the Charm: San Giuda pick-up. Find a way out of the camp Untie Gennaro and then follow the path all the way up to the marker. Hop over the fence and you'll have another fight on your hands. Knife Fight – Messina Back to top ↑ Messina is a tough cookie but the rules here are largely the same and don't differ too much from previous fights. Be patient, use parries wisely and counterattack when you can. Don't lunge in too aggressively and bide your time to hit him where it hurts. Eventually Messina will go down and it'll trigger another cutscene to end the chapter. For completing this section, you'll nab the Achievement: A Trip to the Coast.

Poet awarded Crown at Wrexham National Eisteddfod 2025
Owain Rhys from Llandwrog, who now lives in Cardiff, has won the Crown at the National Eisteddfod for his entry Llif 2. The Crown is given for a collection of poems up to 250 lines in free verse on the theme Adfeilion (Ruins). Ifor ap Glyn, one of this year's adjudicators, said: "Llif 2 opens with the simple couplet 'When you forget / every day as you wake' – and it discusses living with someone suffering from dementia, namely the poet's mother. "It's a quiet and sensitive treatment of what must be done to help the mother continue to live with dignity as her memory deteriorates. "This is a powerful and rich collection that gripped me on the first reading, with each subsequent reading revealing further layers to appreciate. "Llif 2 is the most complete and consistent in its standard. "Llif 2, therefore fully deserves the Crown of the Wrecsam National Eisteddfod. "Congratulations." Judges Gwyneth Lewis and Siôn Aled agreed with Mr ap Glyn's assessment. Ms Lewis said: "The subject is firmly rooted in the poem, without being overdone. "There are lovely touches here, such as the poet speaking of clearing the family archive and throwing family papers into a 'museum box'. "A clear, thoughtful, and tender lyrical voice runs through the poem, and Llif 2 has the ability to encapsulate experience in just a few words. "There is exceptional emotional and verbal care here, and it is a joy to award the Crown to Llif 2. "Congratulations to him/her." Siôn Aled said: "Anguish' or 'agony' are the words is the word that come to mind when reading Llif 2's poems. "I consider Hafgan, Llef 2, and Traed yn Dŵr all worthy of the Crown this year, but for such a solid body of craft and piercing expression, Llef 2 takes it in my opinion, and I'm glad that all three of us as judges agree on that. "Warm congratulations to Llef 2, and I truly hope the work will be widely read." Mr Rhys has worked for more than 20 years at Amgueddfa Cymru (National Museum Wales) and now works in community engagement and social value. He holds a degree in archaeology and an MA in museum studies. Mr Rhys is a two-time winner on Radio Cymru's Talwrn y Beirdd as a member of the Aberhafren team. He has previously won National Eisteddfod competitions for englyn and englynion milwr, traditional Welsh poetic forms. He has supported Wrexham AFC since the 1970s. He lives in Fairwater, Cardiff, with his wife Lleucu Siencyn and their children Gruffudd and Dyddgu. The Crown was sponsored by Elin Haf Davies, with a £750 prize donated by Prydwen Elfed Owens in memory of her parents and her childhood in Bwlchgwyn and at Ysgol Gwynfryn. It was designed by Neil Rayment and Elan Rowlands, who also created the crown for the 2024 Rhondda Cynon Taf Eisteddfod. Their design was inspired by the ancient fossils of Brymbo Forest, which date back more than 300 million years to the Carboniferous period. The fossils form the symbolic foundation of the crown, representing the geological and industrial roots of Wrexham. The crown is encircled by a repeating organic pattern based on fossilised forms, with key dates marking milestones in the area's history. Those include the construction of Strode House in 1725, the opening of Bersham Ironworks in 1782, the founding of Brymbo Ironworks, and the completion of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in 1795. Other milestones featured are the founding of Wrexham AFC in 1864, the launch of Wrexham Lager in 1882, and the birth of James Idwal Jones, creator of the first historical atlas of Wales, in 1900. By 1913, the nearby colliery employed 10,000 workers. READ MORE: Wrexham: Dafydd Iwan waves goodbye after 60 years of Eisteddfod performances At the centre of the crown is a reimagined 'Nod y Cyfrin' symbol, first used at last year's Eisteddfod, now given a rugged, stone-like texture. The word 'WRECSAM' is set across the crown in a custom font inspired by the Hollywood-style Wrexham sign unveiled in 2021. The Eisteddfod will publish the winning poems on its website after the ceremony, and the full adjudication will appear in the Cyfansoddiadau a Beirniadaethau volume, released after the Chairing Ceremony on Friday afternoon. The Wrexham National Eisteddfod continues in Is-y-Coed until Friday, August 9. More information is available at

Owain Rhys wins the Crown at the National Eisteddfod in Wrexham
Owain Rhys has been awarded the Crown at this year's National Eisteddfod in Wrexham. The poet, who was born in Llandwrog, near Caernarfon but has been living in Cardiff since he was a teenager, won for his collection of work about his mother living with dementia. The Crown is sponsored by Elin Haf Davies and the cash prize of £750 is presented by Prydwen Elfed Owens, in memory of her parents and her happy childhood years in Bwlchgwyn. The Crown was designed and produced by Neil Rayment and Elan Rowlands in their workshop in Cardiff Bay. Poets were asked to submit a poem or a collection of poems without being in a poem, up to 250 lines, on the subject of 'Ruins'. The judges are Gwyneth Lewis, Siôn Aled and Ifor ap Glyn. Delivering the adjudication from the stage Ifor ap Glyn said that Llif 2's (Owain Rhys' nom-de-plume) collection opens with a simple couplet and it discusses living with someone who suffers from dementia, namely the poet's mother. It is a calm and sensitive approach to what must be done to help the mother continue to live with dignity as her memory decays. He said: "The collection presents a tender picture of a difficult situation that faces so many families today, and we sense the depth of the poet's feelings towards his mother, and her former strength. She in turn is compared to a trinity of strong women from our past, Rhiannon, Heledd and Buddug; and we share the poet's embarrassment at now having to help her sort out her own desk. "This is a powerful and rich collection that grabbed me on the first reading, with each subsequent reading only revealing further layers to appreciate. "In strong competition this year, it could have been discussed to crown Hafgan and Traed yn Dŵr, but Llif 2's collection is the most consistent and consistent in its quality." There was also praise from Gwyneth Lewis in her adjudication: "The text is solid without being exaggerated. There are lovely touches, such as the poet talking about clearing a family archive and throwing family papers into a 'museum box'. A clear, thoughtful and tender lyrical voice runs through the poem, and Llif 2 has the ability to summarize an experience in a few words. "Writing directly or being so spare-words is not easy. There is a special emotional and verbal care and it is a joy to award the Crown to Flow 2." And like his fellow judges, Siôn Aled also praises the work of Llif 2 - although he believes that two other poets are also worthy of the Crown this year. Owain Rhys lives in Cardiff with his wife, Lleucu Siencyn, and his children, Gruffudd and Dyddgu. After working for Amgueddfa Cymru for over twenty years, he now works in the field of community engagement and social value. He was a member of the Aberhafren team, which has twice won the BBC Radio Cymru programme, Talwrn y Bairdd. He has also been victorious in the englyn competitions in the National Eisteddfod. He has a degree in archaeology, and an MA in Museum Studies. He loves traveling Wales and the world to see castles, ruins and tombs. He has been a fan of the Wrexham football team since the 1970s, and has experienced many disappointments (and some joys!) while supporting them over the years.

'Fantastic Four's Vanessa Kirby and 'Thunderbolts*' Sebastian Stan Unite for New Movie
After they're finished fighting off villains and saving the world, two of the biggest names in the 2025 superhero film landscape are set to team up. And they'll do so in a genre that's an extremely far cry from the Marvel world. Sebastian Stan has made the leap from popular superhero to fan-favorite after reprising his role as Bucky Barnes in Thunderbolts*. He'll now star in a new project with one of the biggest names in the highly anticipated Fantastic Four: First Steps movie, Vanessa Kirby, who'll portray Sue Storm, which is set to premiere on July 25. As Deadline first reported, Stan and Kirby will headline and produce a new film based on Australian author Amy Taylor's upcoming second novel, Ruins. The news comes after Deadline reported that Miramax won the rights to Ruins "in a competitive bid." Here's a look at the book's story, which Deadline detailed: "Ruins follows a couple whose affair with a young Greek woman over the course of a summer in Athens threatens to crack their relationship open in a story about privilege and power, desire and intimacy." It sounds exciting, to say the least, and it's also a unique project that'll showcase the broad skillset of both stars. Along with Fantastic Four: First Steps, Kirby was featured in the movie Eden with Jude Law, Ana de Armas and Sydney Sweeney. She also played The White Widow in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. Stan has portrayed the character Bucky in multiple Marvel films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He also starred in the 2024 film A Different Man, among many other projects.'Fantastic Four's Vanessa Kirby and 'Thunderbolts*' Sebastian Stan Unite for New Movie first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 12, 2025
