Timetable announced for Qatar's return to World aquabiking stage in late October
Tribune News Network Doha Aquabike Promotion and the Doha Marine Sports Club (DMSC) have announced details of Qatar's eagerly awaited return to hosting a round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship on October 30-November 1. The Grand Prix of Qatar will be the first event of its kind to be hosted in the Middle Eastern state since 2015 and will act as the final round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Circuit Championship, the UIM-ABP Aquabike Asian Continental Championship, round two of the Parallel Slalom World Championship and the stand-alone round of the Runabout GP2 Asian Continental C'ship. The on-water action off Mina Corniche in Doha will be centred around three hectic days of racing with the weekend's timetable getting underway with the all-important administration and scrutineering formalities on Wednesday (October 29). A busy Thursday (October 30) timetable sees the free practice sessions for the Runabout GP2 Asian Continental Championship fire into life from 09.30hrs and precede nearly two hours of practice for the Ski Ladies GP1, Ski GP1, Runabout GP1 and Freestyle competitors. The afternoon is dominated by the various qualifying and pole position sessions for the different race disciplines. The first of the Runabout GP2 Asian Continental Championship Motos kickstarts Friday morning's action from 10.00hrs and is followed by the opening Moto for Ski Ladies GP1 and Ski GP1. The second of the Motos follow in the afternoon before the Runabout GP1 and Freestyle contenders take part in their opening Motos. The evening's action will be rounded off from 18.30hrs by the Parallel Slalom competition and a Freestyle night show to entertain the crowds of spectators on Doha Corniche. Pole qualifying for the Qatar International Cup and non-qualified Runabout GP2 riders opens Saturday morning's action from 10.00hrs. There is further free practice for the major four World Championship disciplines and then a Moto for the Qatar International Cup to round off the morning's action. The third of the Runabout GP2 Asian Continental Championship Motos is first on the agenda in the afternoon from 13.30hrs and precedes the third of the Ski Ladies GP1 and Ski GP1 Motos that will decide the outcome of the World Championship from 14.00hrs. Runabout GP1 and Freestyle contenders then take to the water from 15.20hrs for their second Motos that will draw a curtain on the season's UIM-ABP World Championship action.

Continental runabout GP2 enhances lineup for closing round in Qatar
Tribune News Network Doha Aquabike Promotion, in collaboration with the Doha Marine Sports Club (DMSC), are excited to announce the addition of the Continental Runabout GP2 race to this year's forthcoming race calendar in Doha, Qatar. The Gulf Kingdom will be hosting the closing round of this year's Circuit Pro World Championship on October 30th and November 1 in Doha, marking the return of Aquabike to Qatar after a decade's hiatus. With the excitement for the World Championship races building, the Doha Marine Sports Club worked alongside Aquabike Promotion to further bolster Aquabike's imprint in Qatar by hosting the Continental Runabout GP2 alongside the World Championship races. This means even more Aquabike action will be added to the Runabout GP1, Ski Division GP1, Ski Ladies GP1, and Freestyle races that have already been announced. Upon signing the agreement with Salah bin Ibrahim Al Mannai, Vice-President of the Doha Marine Sports Club, Aquabike Promotion's CEO Raimondo San Germano stated: 'We are already very excited to be hosting the Circuit Pro World Championship in Qatar this season, and as a sign of the country's growing interest and significance in jet ski racing, it seemed an obvious choice for us to host the Continental Runabout GP2 in Qatar too. This will elevate Qatar to an even greater level of importance within the racing world, and we are very excited about what will be an action-packed closing round to this year's Aquabike season'. Salah bin Ibrahim Al Mannai, said: 'We are honoured and proud to host the closing round of the 2025 Aquabike Circuit Pro World Championship here in Doha, Qatar. I extend our sincere gratitude to Aquabike Promotion and all participants for choosing Qatar as the destination for such a prestigious event. I would also like to thank the Ministry of Sports and Youth, State of Qatar, for their continuous support and guidance in making this event possible.' This year's Circuit Pro World Championship will get underway next month on the 16th of August in Lake Toba, Indonesia, followed by an all-classes round in Olbia, Italy on the 17th-19th of October, before closing out alongside the Continental Runabout GP2 in Doha, Qatar two weeks later.
