Can Pitt stay healthy enough to get through the season?Can they catch a break and not get someone to be amazing out of the blue, like SMU was to start a long, cold November?This team has the experience and high-end talent to make a great push in the ACC race. It has to go to Notre Dame and West Virginia, but that's not the problem. Pitt will almost certainly be ACC Championship or Bust when it comes to the College Football Playoff.
It doesn't have to deal with Clemson or SMU, and missing Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and - don't snicker - Cal and Duke is a plus. But there can't be any road games of Florida State, Syracuse, and Miami are rough, and while it should roll past Stanford, that's a long flight coming off a date against NC State.
