"We can probably attract a better calibre of player than we'd have been able to do in the past," he added. "Premier League teams are reluctant to loan out their elite players into League One. It has to be a player you believe can make an instant impact and is going to make a significant contribution as the season goes on."

Despite the acquisition, Reynolds continues to hold an "ongoing ownership interest" and acts as the face of the brand. Right now, it is included in the Amazon Essentials promotion as the gin offers a temporary discount. Shoppers usually pay £34 for a 70cl bottle but can now obtain it for £23, presenting a saving of nearly 33%. The "distinguished gin" is renowned for its unique blend of botanicals within each bottle. Predominantly juniper-flavoured, it also includes a mix of cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, and 'two kinds of orange peel'. Fans who purchased this spirit from Amazon have shared glowing endorsements. One shopper said: "Having tasted a number of gins over the year, this is by far the best that I have ever tasted. It's got a little kick to it and is slightly spiced. I have not tasted anything like this previously."
