Young Stirling performers set to take to the stage in Roald Dahl favourite
SABOS Musical Theatre Youth are bringing Matilda the Musical Jr to a local audience in Dunblane this week.
'Revolting' children are taking over Dunblane - thanks to Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society.
SABOS Musical Theatre Youth are bringing Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical Jr to the stage this July.
Thirty talented young performers aged seven to 17 from across the local area take to the stage in the group's latest production, at Victoria Hall, Dunblane, on July 11-12.
Inspired by the beloved book by Roald Dahl and the award-winning West End musical, this junior adaptation bursts with energy, mischief and unforgettable songs – including When I Grow Up, Naughty, and Revolting Children.
Whether you're a long-time Dahl fan or discovering Matilda for the first time, the show promises 'magic, mayhem and a little bit of telekinetic talent'.
Following the success of The Wizard of Oz, Olivia, and Wonderland in previous years, SABOS Youth continues to grow as a dynamic and supportive community of young performers. Their summer rehearsal week is an exciting mix of creativity and camaraderie – with experienced adult mentors from SABOS Musical Theatre and even some older Youth members stepping up to lead and support behind the scenes.
With just three performances – Friday July 11 at 6.30pm, and Saturday July 12 at 2.30pm and 6.30pm – this is a limited chance "to see what happens when local kids decide to be a little bit naughty'.
Booking in advance is recommended – especially for Saturday night, which is already proving popular. Remaining tickets for each performance will be available to purchase on the door.
