‘A Pink Affair' marks SA Council for Business Women's launch

On July 29, the South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) officially launched its newest branch in the West Rand during a celebratory event titled A Pink Affair, held at Samesyn Coffee Shop in Rant-en-Dal. According to the West Rand branch leader, Dr Lurine van Zyl, the establishment of the West Rand branch has played a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's position as one of the most proactive and preferred network marketing platforms in South Africa. 'This strategic expansion has notably contributed to broadening our national footprint, empowering women entrepreneurs across the country. By establishing a strong presence in the West Rand, we continue to foster growth, collaboration, and opportunities for women to thrive in the entrepreneurial space,' Lurine said. The morning was filled with energy, inspiration and purpose as members and guests gathered to witness the official founding. The launch featured a line-up of speakers who each brought valuable insights to the occasion. Hanlie Delport, Honorary Life Member of SACBW, opened the event with a message of encouragement, emphasising the organisation's commitment to empowering women in business throughout South Africa. Lurine also shared her goals for building a strong and collaborative local network, as well as her vision for the impact she hopes the branch will have in the region. Cheyna Ross, one of their Gauteng Regional Business Leaders, chaired the formalities of the meeting and addressed attendees on the operational dynamics of managing a successful SACBW branch.
