The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) said that Starlink Gen1, a constellation of 4,408 satellites operating at altitudes between 540 kilometers and 570 km, has been given the green light to offer services in India for five years.

(Source photos by Reuters and screenshot from WNS's website) SAYAN CHAKRABORTY BENGALURU -- Capegemini, a French technology company, said on Monday that it will pay $3.3 billion in cash to buy WNS, a Mumbai-headquartered business process management company, to bolster its artificial intelligence capabilities. WNS, which also has headquarters in London and New York, straddles about eight sectors including banking, insurance and packaged goods, and counts United Airlines, Aviva and McCain Foods among its clients. It posted profits of $170 million in the fiscal year ending in March 2025 on revenues of $1.3 billion.

(Photo by Raphe mPhibr) SAYAN CHAKRABORTY BENGALURU -- Indian drone maker Raphe mPhibr said Thursday that it had secured $100 million from global investors to expand manufacturing, marking the largest venture funding round for a defense startup in the country. U.S.-based venture capital firm General Catalyst, which has backed defense startups like Andruil in its home market and Helsing in Europe, led the funding with participation from existing investors, including Think Investments, a Silicon Valley VC.
