It found that 69 people will live with Hepatitis B and almost a quarter with Hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is curable, but there is no vaccine yet. Meanwhile Hepatitis B has a vaccine and treatment, but there is no cure yet. Eradicating viral hepatitis as a public health threat is a key goal, with almost 1,000 deaths in Australia recorded each year. Dr Rum explained the historical context of the dispute and also the significance domestic political roles of both sides that play apart in the conflict. However, since both Thailand and Cambodia are members of ASEAN, Dr Rum believed that the dispute should be solved through a dialogue that could be mediated by the current ASEAN Chairmanship which is Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Anwar Ibrahim.
