SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Police Department (SCPD) has given an update to a fatal stabbing, claiming the incident was justified. A 14-year-old in the home witnessed the assault, and police said, in an attempt to stop the violence, they grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Chark. The Woodbury County Attorney's Office determined the 14-year-old was justified in doing so because they were trying to stop the domestic violence situation. No files have been, or will be, charged, they said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
