SEC names Texas A&M softball's Emiley Kennedy Pitcher of the Week Texas A&M has moved into the No. 1 spot in all major polls after taking two out of three games against Tennessee over the weekend for their sixth SEC series victory to close out the regular season. Aggie ace Emiley Kennedy is peaking at the right time, and they really need it with Sidne Peters nursing an injury. She went head-to-head with the Lady Vols' Karlyn Pickens in Game 1 and came out with a 1-0 win. College Baseball World Series Odds: Evaluating LSU's title hopes

College Baseball World Series Odds: Evaluating LSU's title hopes LSU baseball lost a series at Texas A&M last weekend, but the Tigers' championship odds didn't take a hit. According to BetMGM, LSU still owns the third-best odds to win the College World Series in June. The two schools ahead of the Tigers: Tennessee and Arkansas. LSU took two of three from Tennessee when the Vols paid a visit to Baton Rouge last month. LSU will look to accomplish a similar feat when Arkansas comes to town this weekend. Texas, which still holds a two-game lead in the SEC standings after being swept by Arkansas, sits No. 4 with +800 odds to win it all. The list of national title contenders is chock-full of SEC teams. The five best odds to win the College World Series all belong to the SEC, with Georgia rounding out the list at No. 5. The top non-SEC team is Clemson, ranking No. 6 at +1500. Right behind Clemson is Texas A&M, which continues to bounce back after a rough start to the season. 2025 College World Series Odds Odds courtesy of BetMGM. Team Odds Tennessee +450 Arkansas +500 LSU +650 Texas +800 Georgia +1000 Clemson +1500 Texas A&M +1600 North Carolina +1600 Oregon St +2500 Florida St +2500 Georgia Tech +2500 Can LSU baseball win a national championship in 2025? There's no doubt LSU has the pitching to take home the title. With injuries to Texas' staff and Tennessee looking inconsistent, LSU has arguably the best starting rotation in the SEC. Especially with Casan Evans in the fold as LSU's No. 3 starter. LSU ace Kade Anderson continues to impress and Anthony Eyanson was just named SEC Pitcher of the Week. But LSU's lineup raises questions. The Tigers have no trouble mashing less talented squads, but the LSU bats struggle when facing a good pitching staff. The problem is always made worse when playing on the road too. If LSU can make it to Omaha, the Tigers won't have the comfort of Alex Box Stadium. For now, the answer to "Can LSU baseball win a national championship in 2025?" is yes. LSU is too talented to be overlooked, and the pitching gives LSU a chance vs. anyone, but the bats need to figure it out.
