Golden hour just got a New York-sized endorsement. The Brooklyn Bridge—a true titan of Gotham's skyline—was recently named one of the top 50 places in the U.S. to watch the sunset, landing at #31 in a national ranking compiled by car rental site SIXT. The list, which analyzed more than 200 scenic spots across the country, weighed everything from TikTok searches and Instagram hashtags to Google trends and air quality metrics. While Wyoming's Calcite Springs Overlook snagged the top spot, New York's most iconic span made a strong showing—and frankly, no one does a sunset strut like New York City. Built in 1883 and long celebrated as a marvel of engineering and Gothic Revival design, the Brooklyn Bridge connects Manhattan and Brooklyn via a pedestrian promenade with some of the best skyline views in town. And when golden hour hits, it's an amber-hued spectacle worthy of a Spike Lee dolly shot. According to SIXT's data, the Brooklyn Bridge garners more than 550,000 monthly Google searches and racks up over 441,000 TikTok searches. That's a lot of people chasing sunset clout—and they're not wrong. As the sun dips behind the Manhattan skyline, the bridge turns molten gold, casting reflections across the East River and lighting up Lady Liberty in the distance. Whether you're biking across its wooden planks, catching the glow from Brooklyn Bridge Park or snapping selfies mid-promenade, there's no bad angle. And science says it's good for you: Studies show that watching sunsets can reduce stress, improve mood and even boost feelings of gratitude. While New York City didn't crack the top 10 overall, the bridge held its own against national parks, remote lighthouses and Hawaiian volcanoes. That's no small feat for a city better known for smog than sunsets.

Most memorable Oasis lyrics of all time revealed – as survey finds iconic hit top of the list
THE top 20 best Oasis lyrics have been revealed – with 'Don't look back in anger, I heard you say' named the most memorable in a recent survey. A poll of 2,000 adults also found 'I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me', from 'Wonderwall' and "Can I ride with you in your BMW?' from 'Supersonic' were popular. 'You and I are gonna live forever' from Live Forever, and Stand By Me's 'Stand by me, nobody knows the way its gonna be" completed the top five. Other iconic lyrics to feature in the top 20 included 'All your dreams are made when you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade' from What's the Story Morning Glory, and 'We believe in one another', from Acquiesce. The study was commissioned by international mobility provider, SIXT, which, inspired by the lyric, is giving Oasis fans the chance to get behind the wheel of a premium BMW for a free rental as they travel to one of the band's upcoming London gigs from 1st to 3rd August. Andrew Smith, MD of the brand in the UK, said: 'The level of excitement around the band's reunion is rarely seen, so this is our own tribute, inspired by the lyrics we love.' It also emerged some of the most popular lyrics have proved influential for fans, with 13 per cent reconnecting with others because of one of the songs. While one in 10 (nine per cent) have booked a spontaneous trip after listening to one of the lines. A strong emotional impact (44 per cent) is the biggest characteristic of a memorable lyric – but 35 per cent said clever wordplay or rhyming is much more important. Additionally, 19 per cent look out for cultural or social relevance when thinking of lyrics that stuck with them. The studyalso found 28 per cent believe Oasis' music is perfect for a road trip – with 26 per cent saying they evoked happy memories for them. As a result, 14 per cent admitted they are riddled with jealousy watching other people get tickets that they wanted. Andrew Smith from SIXT UK, which is handing out free bucket hats to anyone named Liam or Noel renting a vehicle from one of their London Wembley, Heathrow or Edinburgh locations during tour dates, added: 'We've seen a real surge in demand for premium vehicles, especially in cities along the tour route, and it's clear fans are keen to travel in true rock and roll style. Fans have been seen on social media videos loudly singing the lines back at the band for most songs. This week the show moves to London and Wembley Stadium with lots of A-list celebrities expected to be on the guest list. A total of 2000 people were polled about Oasis lyrics for the survey by car rental firm SIXT. A total of 44% said an emotional impact is what makes a lyric iconic. 35% valued clever wordplay or rhyme and 13% say an Oasis song has helped them reconnect with someone. Oasis: What's Their Story?
