Video shows Bihar Ayurvedic practitioner performing C-section without safety protocols, sparks outrage: ‘Absolutely shocking'
A shocking video of an Ayurvedic practitioner allegedly performing a caesarean section under unhygienic and unsafe conditions is raising eyebrows on social media. According to the viral post, the incident occurred in Bihar's Siwan and the 'doctor' in question has been identified as Kanchan Kumari.
The clip, shot by Kumari's relative, shows the procedure being conducted in what appears to be a makeshift operating room, lacking even the most basic safety measures. The video further highlights Kumari performing the surgery without wearing a surgical mask, gloves, or cap.
Sharing the video, an X handle 'THE SKIN DOCTOR' condemned the incident. 'A 'gynaecologist' who can't even spell the word correctly is performing a C-section in what looks like a storage room, with zero infection control,' the caption read.
'Her family member is casually filming a reel while the surgery is underway. She is not wearing a mask and surgical cap. The room is crowded with people in regular clothes, including the patient's relatives, who are standing around and watching the procedure like it's a live show, without scrubs, masks, or gloves. Probably no anaesthetist either,' the post said.
Revealing the identity of the practitioner, the post wrote, 'She is Kanchan Kumari from Siwan, an Ayurvedic practitioner. Given how frequently the govt changes healthcare policies, I'm not sure whether she's qualified or trained to perform this procedure, but judging by her methods, she is certainly liable for criminal negligence.'
Along with the video, the handle also attached a screenshot of Kumari's Instagram handle and bio which read, 'gynecologist and obstetrics.' In the viral video, a man can be heard saying in Hindi, 'She is my aunt Kanchan Kumari and is performing a C-section. The mothers necessarily give birth to boys when she performs the procedure.'

Although the post triggered a massive outrage. Slamming the incident, a user wrote, 'Why is she still practising ? she must be in jail for harming patients and the unborn child.' Another user commented, 'Absolutely shocking!! The unhygienic atmosphere, the inefficiency, and that evil laughter.'
