Nozomi Networks appoints David Hope to lead APJ cybersecurity push

Nozomi Networks has announced the appointment of David Hope as Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Hope, who assumes the role following the retirement of Ammar Hindi, brings over 38 years of experience in the software and technology sector to Nozomi Networks. He will report directly to Kevin Isaac, Chief Revenue Officer. The appointment is part of a broader regional investment by Nozomi Networks, which will also see increased growth in customer success, solutions engineering, marketing, partner, and customer support teams. These changes come in response to heightened demand across Asia Pacific and Japan, as governments and industry address cybersecurity in critical infrastructure through new international standards and regulatory frameworks. Noted examples include IEC 62443, the Singapore Cybersecurity Act, and the SOCI Act in Australia. Leadership change Hope previously led ForgeRock's Asia Pacific business in identity access management. His experience includes regional leadership roles at Workday, Pitney Bowes Software, Infor Global Solutions, Lawson Software, and Intentia. For the past three decades, he has lived and worked in Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines, where he has developed substantial expertise in APJ's complex business environments, particularly in customer-centric leadership and operational excellence. Kevin Isaac expressed gratitude for the outgoing leader's contributions while welcoming Hope's appointment. "We deeply appreciate the dedication and exceptional contributions that Ammar demonstrated throughout his time at Nozomi Networks, as well as his passion, which brought inspiration not only to our team but also to our important channel community," said Kevin Isaac, Chief Revenue Officer at Nozomi Networks. Isaac added, "As we welcome a new leader, we look forward to the positive impact David Hope will bring to Nozomi Networks. With his extensive knowledge of the software and technology sector, coupled with a thorough understanding of the complexities of the APJ region, we see a significant opportunity to advance our growth strategy." Regional focus Nozomi Networks continues to pursue a partner-first approach in APJ, working alongside partners to support customers. The expanded team aims to build on strong existing relationships within its ecosystem. David Hope noted the significance of joining Nozomi Networks at this time and highlighted the growing need for robust cybersecurity solutions across critical sectors. "It is an honour to join the Nozomi Network's team and continue to develop the technology strategy in the APJ region. There's a growing demand for cyber protection for our critical industries and I'm looking forward to applying my expertise and knowledge in this space, as the importance of operational technology, IoT and CPS security only continues to grow with advances in AI, and the ever-changing technology landscape." Industry backdrop The Asia Pacific and Japan region is experiencing significant regulatory momentum in the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure. Governments and industries are introducing new standards and updating legislative requirements in response to the evolving threat landscape. This has driven demand for solutions in operational technology (OT), internet of things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security. Hope's appointment is seen as aligning with the company's commitment to supporting this demand with localised expertise and investment across technical and customer-facing teams. Nozomi Networks aims to enable organisations in the region to effectively adapt to changing regulations and heightened security needs. In addition to his technology sector roles, David Hope serves as President and Board Member of the Singapore Society of Rugby Union Referees and is an active member of YPO Singapore.
