The movie also stars Bollywood's Priyanka Chopra as the female lead and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran. Latest reports suggest the makers will be shooting a crucial sequence in East Africa. Filming schedule in Kenya According to Telugu Chitraalu, the team is gearing up for the next phase of filming in Kenya. The upcoming schedule will see Mahesh Babu and global icon Priyanka Chopra, who plays the female lead, heading into the dense wilderness of the African mainland. The sequence being shot there is said to be a key scene of the film. Character introductions and story turning point It is said that the Kenya shoot will feature the introduction scenes of both Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra's characters. This isn't just a routine entry, though and it will reportedly be a game-changing moment that alters the course of the story. Before this, the 'SSMB29' team completed significant schedules in India, including two long shoots in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh . The screenplay will be written by Vijayendra Prasad, music composed by MM Keeravani. Rumours also suggest that the 'SSMB29' budget is around Rs 1,000 crore, and with this amount, it would be one of the biggest and most ambitious Indian films ever made, with a target release date of March 2027.
