June 6 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis
Race 1 (1,200m) An interesting start to the day. (2) CASINO KING has made the trip from the Western Cape. He should be a big player in this race. (11) YOU'RE SO SPECIAL showed promise on her debut and she should be winning her first race soon enough. Keep an eye on the betting as there are newcomers that are well bred. (9) STAR OF ELENA has run well in all three of her starts and can fight out the finish. (1) BUFFALO BILL looks all right among the first timers. Keep safe. Race 2 (1,000m) (6) NORTH STAR is an Erik The Red filly and she may well be ready to score on debut. (3) HAZE AND SMOKE is a Potala Palace filly who represents a trainer who can win on debut. (4) IVY showed improvement with blinkers on last time and is probably the best of the raced runners. (2) FOCAL POINT can be included in the exotics. Race 3 (1,000m) (3) ARTICUNO is knocking hard at the door and looks ready to score. (4) INDEBE MAYIBUYE is improving and can score again. (1) BASINGSTOKE needed her run on the Polytrack and should strip fitter this time and could surprise. (2) SWEETIE DARLING is not reliable but she is also not out of it. Race 4 (1,200m) (3) SONG OF MYSELF has had only five starts and she ran some promising races in the Western Cape. She sets the standard on her local debut. (1) ABOUND is better than his last run would suggest and is distance-suited, so should be included in all bets. (2) MASKED VIGILANTE is probably at his very best on the Polytrack but is also capable of winning on the turf. (9) GUARDING THE WALL is not reliabe but does also have a winning chance. Race 5 (1,400m) (2) MIDNIGHT MUSIC is improving and could go one better. (3) UMZOLOZOLO makes her local debut and should contest the finish. (7) PENNY'S WORLD is not out of this. (8) DANCING IN WINTER is in good form and can make the frame again. Race 6 (1,400m) (5) IGUGULETHU has won his last two starts but goes up in the weights. (6) FINAL TRY ran well on local debut and should be very competitive this time. (10) RUN THE WORLD showed some improvement last time and should have something to offer, having made the trip from Cape Town. (4) ONE SCOTCH makes his local debut and can surprise. Race 7 (2,000m) (1) MY BEST SHOT continues his impressive winning streak. He was a facile winner of the East Cape Derby last time and can win again. He is, however, out at the weights with his stable companion, (3) JOY AND PEACE. That filly won last year's East Cape Derby, so it is an interesting class. Joy And Peace seemed to find the distance too far for her last time and is at her very best around this distance. (2) ZATARA MAGIC is at the top of his game and will not go down without a fight. (5) GLOBAL ALLY is consistent and can earn some more money. Race 8 (2,400m) (4) FIRST WISH had stable companion (3) LOTUS ISLAND behind her when they met in the East Cape Derby and that form does look the pick of the race. First Wish has got better with each increase in distance and she should score. (6) GREENLITEALLTHEWAY will appreciate it back on the grass and could be a danger trying this longer distance. (2) WOMAN'S WORLD has not been at her best of late but could threaten if left alone up front. Race 9 (1,600m) (2) LADY SILVANO is probably at her very best over further but gets a narrow vote to score. (1) LUNA HALO has let her supporters down lately but could bounce back to win over a course and distance that suits her. (5) HONORABLE MEMBER found the distance a bit much last time and should be a threat to these rivals. (9) GRANDIOSA boasts two wins over the trip and should improve second-up.

May 23 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis
Race 1 (1,200m) (1) DANISH DYNAMITE showed signs of inexperience on debut and was beaten by an in-form experienced rival. She should improve and go one better this time. (6) SILVAN MISTRESS appears a difficult ride but is a big danger if things fall into place for her. (2) DARLINGBUDSOFMAY ran in a decent field on debut and can improve and contest the finish this time. (9) ZUMSEE is capable of improvement and could be more competitive this time around. Race 2 (1,200m) (1) WILD APPLAUSE has been a disappointment in that she has yet to win a race but she does look likely to go one better this time for Justin Snaith. (11) STAR OF ELENA has ability. Will be a threat to her elders. (2) CLEVER CANDY has improved at this centre and should contest the finish once again. (3) MIDNIGHT MUSIC showed improvement on local debut. Can do even better this track and trip. Race 3 (1,200m) (9) ELUSIVE BLACK returns from a break and has his first run for trainer Gavin Smith. He has been gelded. If fit and well, he could be better than his rivals. (14) ROYAL KINGDOM has been good so far. Can be in the finish. (1) GREEN OKRA changed trainers. Can be in the finish this time. (2) PYRO EDITION makes his local debut and can make significant improvement. Race 4 (1,200m) (8) SWISS PARADISE quickened nicely to win on local debut. This distance is not really a problem and she can follow up but it is a very open handicap. (4) HUGSANDHIGHFIVES returned to form with a narrow win and is capable of following up. (3) SMASHING and (2) KILMONIVAIG are both in good form and have to be included in all bets. Race 5 (1,000m) (9) SPEED RACER ran well above his rating when chasing home easy and impressive winner Mercantour. He can go one better this time. (1) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD is usually very competitive and should fight out the finish. He does give away chunks of weight to his rivals. (2) EVIES FIRST is unreliable but quite capable of contesting the finish. (3) CLIFF TOP has not won for some time but is always capable of earning some money. Race 6 (1,400m) (3) SILVER FALCON is distance-suited and well drawn. He has not won for a while but can score at any time. (1) MERCANTOUR has improved under the care of trainer Alan Greeff and can follow up on a very easy last win. (6) GOLDEN LINK struggled over further last time but has been at his very best around this distance and is not out of it. (8) DESTINY'S ANGEL needed his last run and could show significant improvement. Race 7 (1,000m) (12) HAPPY HOLLY was a very good juvenile. She has not been as good this year but a return to the turf should bring out the best in her. (7) TRIP TO MAPUTO and (6) KYALAMI GIRL have both made their way from the Western Cape and would not be surprise winners. (5) ELLORIX is also not out of it. Race 8 (1,600m) (6) GOT THE FEVER makes her local debut and could improve. (9) IN THE GREEN ZONE returned to form back on the grass last time and could follow up. May 2 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis
Race 1 (1,400m) (1) LA VIDA LOCA has been holding her form well in Kwa-Zulu-Natal and that form should be good enough to score on local debut. (6) STAR OF ELENA was not disgraced on her debut and should fight out the finish. (4) CLEVER CANDY makes her local debut and has not run too badly in the Western Cape. She would not be a surprise winner. (2) RUBY CLAIRE was too far back last time and is battling to win. Race 2 (1,900m) (7) DUTCHESS D'ORANGE has run well in both her starts on the turf since changing trainers and could beat these rivals trying the Polytrack. (3) HAT MONTERA has not been beaten too far in her recent starts and can contest the finish again. (1) GENTEEL has not been reliable but she is capable of getting involved in the finish once again. (2) OH MANDY could like this longer distance and deserves respect. Race 3 (1,600m) (1) HOLOCENE has had some bad draws of late and is not well drawn again but should make a bold bid if he shows his best under jockey Richard Fourie. (4) KOHANA is improving and was an easy maiden winner last time. (6) HOSPICES DE BEAUNE picked up a maiden win last time in his first taste of the Polytrack. (7) GOLD GUNNER ran well last week in a race that had to be abandoned and could be a threat. Race 4 (1,200m) Trainer Alan Greeff looks to have a decent hand in this race. (2) TRAVEL MASTER has good form around this course and distance and can go close to winning. (6) SWISS WALT is not reliable but was a good winner last week and can follow up. (8) RESURGENCE holds a winning chance. (4) SOUND OF THE SEA could show vast improvement trying the Polytrack and is another to include in all bets. Race 5 (1,200m) (4) USA'S HOPE got caught too far back last time. His rider will be more aware of his ability this time round and he can make amends. (1) MERCANTOUR has run well in both his local starts and should be a real threat to these rivals. (2) FIRST ORIGIN is a very speedy sort and should try to make all but his rivals will be aware of that danger. (3) CLIFF TOP has not been at his very best for some time now but is capable of getting involved in the finish. Race 6 (1,400m) (5) GOLDEN GREY is clearly a hard horse to win with, but he has been runner-up in two of his last three starts and could like his first try on the Polytrack. (1) ALWAYS SHINING likes this surface and was touched off on the grass last time, so should be a threat. (2) LIGHTNINGFORK is in decent form and can be followed. (3) GARDEN SUN has drawn wide, but must be included in calculations going on his last-start third. Race 7 (1,400m) A race to go wide in all exotics. (8) PASHTUNWALI is not well drawn but is suited to this course and distance and could pop up and score. (7) JAMBO SANA loves this course and distance and is another to consider. (1) CHARLIE MALONE has been unreliable of late but is capable of contesting the finish. (5) GUARDING THE WALL should be included in all bets. Race 8 (1,400m) A tough last handicap. (7) ICE CAP is knocking hard and is well drawn but is coming back from a break and does tend to get out of her ground early on. (8) LITTLE LEXI has a terrible draw but won on local debut and could have more to offer on this surface. (9) KOMESANS PASSION and (4) BLUE PALACE are both capable of staking a claim going on their recent performances.
