STORM FLORIS IS forecast to bring wet and windy conditions to Ireland on Sunday night and Monday, with Met Éireann advising the public to watch out for weather warnings.
The bank holiday weekend is expected to stay largely fine until Sunday evening, when Storm Floris, which was named by the UK Met Office will cause some 'wet and unseasonably windy weather'.
Met Éireann meteorologist Gerry Murphy has said that Sunday morning should have 'bright, pleasant conditions' and it 'should be a very pleasant afternoon at Croke Park on Sunday for the All-Ireland Ladies Football Final between Dublin and Meath'.
'However, there is some inclement weather on the way for Sunday night and Monday as Storm Floris moves to the north of Ireland. This is going to generate unseasonably wet and windy weather,' he said.
He warned that the most significant impacts will be due to the winds.
He cautioned to 'be sure to have temporary structures tied down, especially if you're at campsites or festivals', and encouraged people to check the Met Éireann website for any weather warnings that are issued.

A status yellow rain and wind warning has already been issued for the six counties in Northern Ireland, with strong winds and heavy rain also forecast for Britain.
The warning covers Northern Ireland, north Wales, northern England, and the whole of Scotland, where the strongest winds are more likely to be recorded.
The warning will be in force from 6am on Monday until 6am on Tuesday.

For Ireland, Met Éireann forecaster Andrew Doran-Sherlock said there is still some uncertainty in the details so the full impacts of the storm 'cannot yet be determined'.
However, he said that by Saturday the storm will be within the range of the high-resolution forecasting model and warnings will be issued then.
According to Met Éireann
, rain and gusty winds will spread from the west on Sunday night. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees are expected.
Monday will see a wet and windy start with strong and gusty winds and widespread rain, possibly heaviest over parts of the northwest.
The weather will clear through the morning and afternoon, with sunny spells and scattered showers expected as winds ease throughout the day.
Temperatures are expected to reach between 16 to 21 degrees.
Tuesday will be a drier and brighter day.
Today will remain mostly dry with the odd spot of drizzle expect tonight.
Most of the eastern half of the country will stay fully dry tomorrow with sunshine, some rain and drizzle is expected in the west and northwest. Temperatures will stay between 17 to 23 degrees.
On Saturday night, rain is expected to start in the west and travel across the country, with temperature decreasing to 13 to 17 degrees.
Cloud and rain will clear Sunday morning, with the day expected to remain mostly dry and bright.
