Plattsburgh Holds on for Playoff Win
PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Plattsburgh men's basketball team would hold on for a 69-66 playoff opening win verse Morrisville. The Cardinals would break up a 28 all tie at the half, thanks to Franklin Infante producing some early point via shots and assists. The Cardinals would never trail again, building as much as a nine-point lead in the second half. That would almost all completely go away, before Kevin Tabb would score 4 key points down the stretch to have enough and win on the Mustang's last effort three miss. The win is the Card's first in 7 years, which was the last time they won the SUNYAC Championship. This is also the first playoff win for head coach Mike Blaine, since joining the Plattsburgh program 6 years ago. The number 4 ranked Cardinals will now travel to New Paltz, the top seed, for a semifinal match up this coming Friday night. Highlights from the game, and hear from the Cardinals in the video above.
