Recently, on social media, a major throwback video of hers is going crazy viral featuring Mika Singh. Smriti Irani's Old Dance Video The viral video dates back 27 years. It's a 1998 Mika Singh music video featuring the Union Minister Smriti Irani dancing on 'Boliyan' track from the famous album 'Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag'. She participated in the Miss India beauty pageant in the same year. She was one of the participants who couldn't reach the top 9, along with TV actress Gauri Pradhan Tejwani. Watch the viral video here: Irani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2003. She became the vice president of the Maharashtra Youth Wing in 2004. Smriti is an MP from the Amethi constituency and won Lok Sabha elections in 2019 by defeating Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Smriti Irani's Showbiz Career In 2000, Smriti Irani made her début with TV series Aatish and Hum Hain Kal Aaj Aur Kal. She also starred in the Kavita serial on DD metro. But it was with Balaji Temefilms' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi by Ekta Kapoor which earned her massive stardom. She holds the record of winning five consecutive Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress - Popular, four Indian Telly Awards.

Mika Singh recalls crying while singing in front of Priyanka Chopra: ‘Kaunsa Tansen ki aulad hai'
Mika Singh has delivered many hit songs in his long career. Despite being a well-known name in the Hindi and Punjabi music industry for years, Mika says he sometimes gets surprised by his own ability to hit certain notes while singing. He recently recalled an instance when he cried while performing on a reality show that had Priyanka Chopra in attendance. Mika admitted that his emotional reaction on the show might have been exaggerated by the actor and others present. Recalling the moment, Mika told Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, 'Sometimes I would cry listening to my own songs. I think it's age also. I cried after singing two lines of a song on a reality show. If I tell somebody, they won't believe me. They will say, 'Kaunsa tu Tansen ki aulad hai'.' He added, 'I was singing the song 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' at the show and I became happy listening to myself sing. Priyanka Chopra was sitting beside me, and I started crying. Trolls said, 'He can't sing, that's why he is crying.' Now, the whole industry cries on reality shows, but when I used to do that, people would ask me, 'Why are you doing this?'' In an earlier interaction with SCREEN, Mika had revealed that his original intention was to become a music director when he entered the industry. He said, 'In 1998, when my song 'Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag' came, it became a hit. But at the time, I wanted to be a music director, and not a singer. That is why I didn't pay a lot of attention to my singing in the song. It didn't matter to me that the song had a nasal tone.' Mika, however, decided to pursue a full-fledged singing career after the song became a hit.
