[UPDATED] Crowd gathers to witness Zara Qairina's exhumation

SIPITANG: Around 100 family members, friends, and residents gathered at the Tanjung Ubi Muslim Cemetery in Mesapol this afternoon to witness the exhumation of the late Zara Qairina Mahathir's grave. Many had been present since midday and remained at the site despite the afternoon rain. The exhumation is expected to begin once the officers and lawyers arrive from Papar. Also present were police officers stationed to ensure the exhumation process proceeds smoothly and securely. Officers from the Sabah State Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAINS) are also on site to oversee and monitor the process, ensuring it is carried out with due respect following Islamic rites. The exhumation is being conducted following an order issued earlier today by magistrate Zuraini Ali Musa of the Sipitang magistrate's court, during a Zoom proceeding held at the Papar district police headquarters.
