These months-long cruises cost thousands and visit dozens of cities

Cruise companies have been launching progressively longer and more extreme cruises in the last few years. These journeys often last months, visiting dozens of destinations across several countries, and can cost tens of thousands of euros. The rise of world cruises comes as travellers demand newer, more exciting experiences that push the frontiers of luxury travel. A vast range of dining, entertainment, shopping, fitness and activity facilities on most luxury cruises also ensures that they appeal to a wide variety of travellers who don't want to compromise on travel style and comfort. A rise in people sharing their trips on social media, as well as more interest from millennial and Gen Z cruisers, has supported the growth of cruising as well. This has led a number of cruise companies to go even bigger with the upcoming launches of even longer journeys around the world. But how long is too long to be at sea? And does the price tag justify the experience? Euronews Travel looks at some of the most extreme cruises due to launch in 2026 and 2027. Calcutta FD Water Battle returns for 24th year at St. Clair Township Memorial Day Festival

CALCUTTA, Ohio (WKBN) — A local fire department enjoyed the nice weather Sunday afternoon with a fun event. The Calcutta Fire Department hosted its 24th annual Water Battle as part of the St. Clair Township Memorial Day Weekend Festival at Calcutta Square. Firefighters competed in teams to knock a suspended barrel down a wire using their water hoses. 'The main reason we are here today is because of the veterans that have lost their lives in the battle, and we can have the freedom for our country that we enjoy today. So, this is because of their memories and their honor, and we'd like to continue that, and this gives us the freedom to do that,' said St. Clair Township Trustee Jim Sabatini. The festival started with a 5K run and walk. People could also enjoy food vendors, a car show and live music all day. At noon, there was a flag-raising ceremony in front of the Veterans Clinic to honor those who died in service. 'We have vendors, and we have bands. We have the car show going on and fireworks [Sunday] at 9:30 p.m. We had our flag-raising ceremony this morning, and it went well. So, it's just been better and better every year, and I keep enjoying it the more we do it,' Sabatini said. The festival ends after the fireworks. Tino DiCenso contributed to this report. Sabatini proposes Lake consider how to ‘combat' illegal immigration

Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini wants to make it illegal for undocumented immigrants to enter the county, giving local authorities a directive to assist the Trump administration in deportations. Sabatini opened discussion during Tuesday's board meeting about a potential local ordinance modeled after one previously enacted in Jacksonville. 'I think, at the state and local level, we need to be doing everything we can to address this very important issue of illegal immigration,' he said. 'I think eventually, this commission should take action to make sure we're doing everything in our power to combat this issue.' The Jacksonville ordinance is on hold, however, as it was based on a new Florida law that a federal judge on April 4 issued a temporary restraining order against, saying it was likely unconstitutional. Sabatini said he proposed the item to start the discussion and position Lake County to impose harsher penalties against undocumented immigrants if that is allowed. 'We have a new president, illegal immigration has become a major issue, there's all types of efforts towards deportation and the states are stepping up,' he said. 'Florida passed one of the first laws in the country to remove illegals from the state.' The new law (SB 4-C) passed earlier this year as part of an effort to crack down on undocumented immigrants coming into the state. Sabatini argued a temporary restraining order against the law— halted on 4 by U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams — stands on 'extremely dubious, unconstitutional grounds.' Florida's attorney general also has said the law is not improper. The law created state crimes for undocumented immigrants who enter or re-enter Florida. Immigrant advocacy groups and others challenged it on ground it violates the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which establishes the federal government as the 'supreme law of the land' and could designate immigration enforcement as a federal responsibility. Sabatini said wants county officials to discuss immigration enforcement regularly while it waits on a final court ruling. 'As I'm getting this information from different parts of the state and the court system, I'm going to start putting it on the agenda once a month just to check in,' he said. 'So that when we do get an ordinance, we will be lawfully allowed to enact this law.' Sabatini did not share specifics on how Lake County would implement the law should it be allowed to move forward, but said he wanted to take time for input from other commissioners. Commissioner Tim Morris raised concerns about the potential cost of enacting the law in Lake County if it stands. 'We're going to have impacts on the jail population, the cost of housing and medical,' he said. 'They'll have to have representation, which means it's probably the public defender. The state attorney's going to be involved and the sheriff.' Sabatini said he shares Morris' concerns and that's what he wants to have ongoing conversations. 'It may be a meeting or two or a few from now we'll put it back on,' he said. 'Or I'll request respectfully for it to be put back on so we can talk about it again and then maybe eventually have a vote.' Tuesday's meeting was not Sabatini's first effort to make significant moves regarding immigrants in Lake. In January, Sabatini urged Tom Homan, then a nominee for director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to begin the process for deporting the more than 21,000 undocumented immigrants he said were in in the county. Homan is now the Trump administration's border czar. 'Lake County has a population of over 435,000 people, yet contains 21,000+ illegal aliens, one of the highest concentrations of illegals in the state of Florida,' Sabatini wrote in the letter to Homan. 'As a Lake County Commissioner and strong supporter of the nation's immigration laws, I can assure you that the citizens of my county would greatly appreciate the efforts of your agency.' Pat Sabatini 'f*cking thrilled' with dominant UFC on ESPN 65 co-feature victory over Joanderson Brito

LAS VEGAS – Pat Sabatini couldn't be happier with his performance in the UFC on ESPN 65 co-main event against Joanderson Brito. Sabatini (20-5 MMA, 7-2 UFC) was an underdog according to the oddsmakers, but he certainly proved them wrong as he dominated Brito (17-5-1 MMA, 5-3 UFC) for 15 minutes. He even earned a 10-8 score from one of the official judges in the final round. 'I'm f*cking thrilled, I'm really f*cking thrilled,' Sabatini told MMA Junkie and other reporters at a post-fight news conference. '… It's great going and getting a win against such a dangerous opponent who has a win over Diego Lopes, which was my last loss. It just shows me what I'm doing. I'm going in the right direction, and it's just more motivation to keep climbing.' Brito never had a chance to get going. From the beginning of the fight until the final horn, Sabatini smothered Brito with his grappling, dictating virtually every minute of the fight on the ground. It wasn't all lay-and-pray tactics either; Sabatini was causing damage on the ground too. It was a performance that elevated Sabatini's confidence to new heights. So much so that he made a bold proclamation about his skills on the ground. 'I don't know where it started, but I just started saying it this week, actually, but I'm going to say it again: the closer I get to you, the more dangerous I get,' Sabatini said. 'I really feel in my heart and my mind that I'm the best grappler in this whole division.' Sabatini has now won two straight after being stopped by Lopes, who fights Alexander Volkanovski for the vacant featherweight title at UFC 314. One day, Sabatini hopes to fight for gold one day and hopes this performance places him in the rankings at 145 pounds. 'I just want to keep climbing, man,' Sabatini said. 'Obviously, I want to be UFC champion. I think I'm on that route. I know I'm on that route and I just want to keep climbing. I would love to have a number next to my name.' Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 65

Joanderson Brito and Pat Sabatini meet Saturday in the UFC on ESPN 65 co-main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom. Last event: 3-3 UFC main cards, 2025: 25-22-1 Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini UFC on ESPN 65 preview Brito (17-4-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) had a five-fight winning streak snapped by a split decision loss to William Gomis in Paris this past September. The five wins before that all were stoppages, including two for post-fight bonus awards. Sabatini (19-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) has traded wins and losses his past five fights, but got back on the uptick with a first-round submission of Jonathan Pearce this past fall. Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini UFC on ESPN 65 expert pick, prediction The co-main event in Las Vegas features a solid featherweight booking between two of my favorite action fighters, Joanderson Brito and Pat Sabatini. Although Sabatini is arguably more of a submission specialist, I'll still happily lump him in with the action-fighting crowd given that his fights have a high likelihood of ending early. But if Sabatini wants to avoid being the one who is ended, then he'll likely need to get to his grappling early and often. Luckily for Sabatini, Brito – despite having an edge with his power striking in this matchup – does have a propensity to throw himself out of position and into the clinch due to said power. In fact, Brito's bad habit of clinching has arguably cost him finishes and fights throughout his UFC tenure. With that in mind, Brito will likely be tasked with finding a balance between landing his kill shot or surrendering winning conditions to Sabatini. I've been burnt by Brito's wildman tendencies before, so I'll side with the small cage and the Brazilian's bad habits to funnel this fight into Sabatini's specialty. The pick is for Sabatini to lock up a submission by the end of Round 2. Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini UFC on ESPN 65 odds The oddsmakers and the public are keeping the betting lines tight, listing Dober -118 and Torres -104 via FanDuel. Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini UFC on ESPN 65 start time, how to watch Brito and Sabatini are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 11:30 p.m. ET. The fight airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+. For more on the card, visit MMA Junkie's event hub for UFC on ESPN 65.
