Hyundai Verna gets a new SX+ variant starting at ₹13.79 lakh. Here's what it gets

The Hyundai Verna has been updated with a new SX+ variant. (Sabyasachi Dasgupta) Check Offers Hyundai has introduced a new variant for its Verna sedan, the SX+. The new Hyundai Verna SX+ is priced starting at ₹ 13.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new SX+ variant of the sedan will be offered only with the 1.5 MPi engine mated with either of two transmission options, a manual and an iVT. The higher spec iVT variant is priced at a premium to the manual at ₹ 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom). Related watch: Hyundai Verna: First Drive Review Hyundai Verna: New features on SX+ The new variant of the Hyundai Verna gets multiple features that contribute to the in-cabin experience. A few of the features include a Bose 8 speaker system, leather seat upholstery, ventilated and heated front seats, front parking sensors, LED headlamps and more such modern conveniences. The Korean carmaker has introduced this new variant right after it released new variants for the brand's 7-seater SUV, the Hyundai Alcazar. Also Read : Hyundai Alcazar gets new diesel and DCT petrol variants starting at 17.86 lakh Hyundai Verna: Engine The Hyundai Verna is available with either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit. The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and IVT, while it churns out 114 bhp peak power and 143.8 Nm of maximum torque. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DCT unit as transmission choices. The turbocharged engine is capable of pumping out 157 bhp peak power and 253 Nm of maximum torque. The introduction of the new VERNA SX+ variant aligns with our goal to democratise premium features and elevate ownership experience for our customers." Hyundai Verna: Other features The Hyundai Verna features a massive panoramic display for infotainment as well as driver information. The 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen with support for 12 languages and the digital cluster with TFT MID are curved. There are two dashboard colour options - and there are two colour options - Black with Red accents in the turbo variant and Black and Beige for the non-turbo models. The Hyundai Verna also gets ventilated and heated front seats, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. The Verna feature list also includes 64-light ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power driver seat and leather seats. It further gets ADAS level 2 features. These include Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Safe Exit Warning, among many others. Verna also offers six airbags. Honda Cars India has officially discontinued the VX trim level of the second gen Honda Amaze (HT Auto/Sabyasachi Dasgupta) Check Offers The top of the line variant of the second gen Honda Amaze - VX- has been officially discontinued. At the time when the third gen Honda Amaze was launched in December 2024, the carmaker had announced that it will be selling the second generation version of the sub compact sedan alongside the new model. While, since then both the variants of the second gen Amaze - S and the VX were on sale, now the company's official website has delisted the VX trim level of the model. With this, only the S trim level of the 2021 Honda Amaze is on sale alongside the 2024 Honda Amaze range. At the time the sedan was offered across three trim levels - E, S and VX, with the E variant being discontinued in 2023. Now though, with the VX variant being discontinued as well, the second gen Amaze is available only in the S trim which is priced at ₹ 7.63 lakh and ₹ 8.53 lakh for the manual transmission option and CVT option, respectively. The sedan gets powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The engine gets paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. Inside the cabin, the S trim features an integrated 2DIN LCD screen audio system offering Aux-in, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, complemented by steering-mounted audio and hands-free telephone controls. Functional additions included a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver's seat for better ergonomics, and a rear center foldable armrest with a cupholder for passenger comfort. Further conveniences comprised front and rear accessory sockets, a trunk lid lining, a leather gear lever boot for manual versions, an assistant side vanity mirror, and often a dual-tone black and beige instrument panel. The sedan is priced between ₹ 8.19 lakh and ₹ 11.20 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom. Just like the second gen model, the third gen also gets powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The engine gets paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The highlight of the 2024 Amaze is that it is now the most affordable car in the Indian market to come with an Advanced Driver Aids System. It also gets LED lighting, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, projector fog lamps, remote engine start, a semi-digital driver's display and connected car technology. While the new update did not bring in any mechanical or design changes, it added two new variants in the Exter lineup. Interestingly, this was the third time in 2025 when the Hyundai Exter lineup was updated. Here's what the latest update to the Exter lineup brings to the table. 1 Hyundai Exter S Smart and SX Smart: Price The price of the petrol MT and AMT variants of S Smart are pegged at ₹ 7,68,490 and ₹ 8,39,090 respectively while the CNG option is priced at ₹ 8,62,890. The price of SX Smart in the petrol manual version is ₹ 8,16,290 while the AMT variant is priced at ₹ 8,83,290. The price of the SX Smart Hy-CNG Duo is ₹ 9,18,490. All prices are ex-showroom. 3 Hyundai Exter S Smart and SX Smart: Features The Exter S Smart features a smart electric sunroof, LED taillamps, highline tyre pressure monitoring system, R15 (380.2 mm) styled steel wheels, rear AC vents, and LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), which is a strong value proposition in its class. Building on this, the Exter SX Smart adds even more convenience with a smart key featuring push button start, sharkfin antenna, and projector headlamps, in addition to all the features offered in the S Smart variant. With the update, Mahindra provides the XUV700 in 43 different variants, from the base MX variant to the feature-packed AX7 L of the Ebony Edition. (HT Auto/Sabyasachi Dasgupta) Mahindra XUV700 range has been streamlined by eliminating all five-seater options from its lineup. With the update, the SUV is now available only in six- and seven-seater options, placing it even more strongly as a family vehicle. The change in the lineup has translated into a price hike as well, with the base price now starting at ₹ 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom), an increase from the earlier ₹ 13.99 lakh. With the update, Mahindra provides the XUV700 in 43 different variants, from the base MX variant to the feature-packed AX7 L of the Ebony Edition. The Ebony Edition, which is the latest one, adds visual value and premium shine to the top-of-the-line trims. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the AX7 L Diesel Automatic Ebony Edition tops the range with the most premium features and also gets a seven-seat layout. With the update, the prices of the Mahindra XUV700 now start at ₹ 14.49 lakh for the base MX petrol seven seater version and top out at ₹ 25.15 lakh for the AX7 L AWD Ebony edition. Mahindra XUV700: Specs The Mahindra XUV700 is available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol model gets a 2.0-litre mStallion motor that kicks out 197 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel motor on the other hand generates 152 bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. There is a differently tuned diesel motor as well that kicks out 182 bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque. Transmission duty in the Mahindra XUV700 is done by a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic unit. This includes the 10.25-inch twin screens for the instrument console and infotainment system. There's also the AdrenoX user interface, Alexa built-in functionality, Sony sound system, Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, voice commands, ambient lighting and more. An update in 2024 also introduced ventilated seats, ORVMs with memory function, OTA updates with 13 new feature enhancements and the new Napoli Black shade.
