Suspected methamphetamine, cocaine seized in northern Ont. drug bust

A 33-year-old woman from Sachigo Lake First Nation is facing multiple drug-related charges following an Ontario Provincial Police investigation.
The investigation began about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, after officers observed an individual in the area of Millar Crescent in Sioux Lookout who was 'known to be in breach of their court-ordered release conditions.'

According to OPP, the individual was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of suspected illicit substances. The subsequent police investigation resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and crack cocaine. Police also confiscated drug trafficking paraphernalia and an unspecified amount of cash.
As a result, the woman has been charged with two counts of drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The accused was remanded into custody after her arrest; her next bail hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19.
