Al-Adwani began his journey by securing the Kuwaiti League title with Kuwait Club. He then played professionally for Al-Arabi in Qatar, where he won the league championship before joining Sharjah in the UAE, where he added another league title to his impressive record. Now, Al-Adwani is on the verge of yet another milestone as the Kuwaiti Premier League title for the 2024–2025 season is within reach—Kuwait Club needs just one more win to claim its 13th consecutive league title. Al-Adwani's success across multiple championships and countries has earned him the well-deserved title of the "Super Star" of Kuwaiti and Gulf handball. Taking to his account on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter), Al-Adwani described the season as 'exceptional and unforgettable.' 'Thank God, I was honored to win three league titles in one season with three different clubs: Kuwait SC, Al-Arabi SC, and Sharjah SC,' he wrote. Qatar crowned Arab handball champions, Kuwait stand third

Earlier, the Kuwaiti handball team, playing in front of a full house of enthusiastic fans, claimed third place by beating Egypt with a score of 29-25 in the third-place match at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports complex in the tournament, which was hosted by Kuwait since May 5 and concluded on Sunday. Kuwait handball team eyes Arab Cup glory under new coach Kristjansson
KUWAIT CITY, April 24: The Kuwaiti national handball team began its training sessions in preparation for the 10th Arab Cup for Men's National Teams with 22 out of 23 players reporting to the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex the day before yesterday. The tournament, hosted by Kuwait, will be held from May 4 to 12 and coincides with the International Handball Federation Week. Notably absent from the session was national team star Saif Al-Adwani, who has joined Qatar's Al-Arabi Club for the remainder of their league season from May 23 to 28. He is joined in Qatar by Kazma's Tunisian professional, Mohammed Farad. The training session was overseen by newly appointed Icelandic head coach Aron Kristjansson. Before the workout, Kristjansson addressed the players in the presence of Handball Federation Treasurer Khaled Taleb, National Teams Director Faisal Saywan, and Team Administrator Abdulaziz Al-Zaabi. Khaled Taleb, Treasurer of the Handball Federation, expressed optimism about the national team's campaign in the Arab Cup, highlighting strong ambition from both players and coaching staff. 'The coach was fully briefed on the local league and player performance even before his arrival,' Taleb said. 'This tournament is not just a chance to win the title, but also key preparation for upcoming major competitions.' Taleb emphasized that Kuwait aims to deliver a well-organized tournament worthy of its handball legacy, made possible through the backing of the Public Authority for Sports and the tireless efforts of the Handball Federation's board and committees. He added that the Arab Cup will serve as a vital test event ahead of Kuwait's hosting of the Asian Cup in January. Kuwait handball team returns with 27th place finish at World Cup
ZAGREB, Jan 29: The Kuwaiti national handball team is set to return this morning at 5:00 am after completing its participation in the 29th World Handball Championship, currently taking place in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway. The tournament will conclude on February 2. The team finished in 27th place, securing a 37-32 victory over Japan, the Asian champion, in the match that determined the rankings for 27th and 28th places. Saif Al-Adwani, the standout player for Kuwait, was named the best player of the match, marking his second consecutive individual accolade after being named "Man of the Match" against Algeria during the World Cup's "President's Cup" competition. This marks Kuwait's return to the World Cup after a 15-year absence, with the team's ninth participation in the prestigious event. Qaed Al-Adwani, Secretary of the Kuwait Handball Federation and head of the national team delegation at the World Cup praised the players for their impressive performance and high morale. Despite facing a challenging group in the preliminary rounds, the team gave it all, securing a well-deserved 27th-place finish. 'While we were placed in a tough group during the preliminary round, our players performed admirably and represented Kuwaiti handball with pride,' Al-Adwani stated. 'Reaching the 27th position at the World Cup is a significant achievement, and it provides the team with great motivation for future success.' Al-Adwani, on behalf of the Kuwait Handball Federation, also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the players for their dedication and sacrifice, which helped elevate Kuwait's name on the global stage.
