UAE assures easing Pak visa processing

The UAE has assured Pakistan of its "full support" in expediting visa processing for its citizens, particularly in the domain of work permits, as part of broader efforts to enhance bilateral ties in security and immigration affairs. This assurance came from UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is currently in the Gulf country on an official visit. According to APP, the high-level meeting marked a key diplomatic exchange aimed at deepening cooperation in critical areas such as security, counter-narcotics and streamlined immigration protocols. Minister Naqvi was accorded a warm welcome upon arrival at the UAE Ministry of Interior, where he received a guard of honour. He was formally introduced to senior UAE officials before entering into extensive talks with his counterpart and other officials. A central focus of the discussions was the facilitation of visa processes for Pakistani nationals, especially those seeking employment opportunities in the UAE.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has assured full cooperation in easing the visa process for Pakistani citizens. The development came in a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in security, counter-narcotics, anti-smuggling, and the prevention of illegal immigration. Exchange of technology also came under discussion. The two sides also discussed the issues of visa faced by Pakistan. A large number of Pakistanis are contributing to the strength of the UAE's economy, the interior minister said. The minister emphasized the importance of easing the visa policy. 'We want Pakistani citizens to come to the UAE with ease. Relaxation in visa policies will bring great relief.' Earlier, Naqvi assured that steps were being taken to improve the global ranking of the Pakistani passport, which, he said would reach a significantly better position in the next two years, making Pakistanis proud of holding the green passport.

During the Pakistani delegation's visit to the Ministry of Interior, the delegation, headed by Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of Interior and Counter-Narcotics of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was briefed on the Ministry's customer visit monitoring operations room and the means and systems it provides for monitoring and evaluating police services, improving employee performance, and providing pioneering police services.
